Summary

Heap buffer overflow in Base in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.109 allowed an attacker who convinced a user to install a malicious extension to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted Chrome Extension. (Chromium security severity: High) This vulnerability allows for potential heap corruption, which could be exploited to impact the integrity and availability of the browser.

An Important heap buffer overflow flaw was found in the Base component of Chromium. While user interaction is required, the potential for significant impact on affected systems warrants the Important severity.
