Summary

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/gfx9.4.3: replace BUG_ON() with WARN_ON() There's no need to crash the kernel for these cases. (cherry picked from commit 5676593d08998d7a6d9e2d51d6b54b3820e3755c) This vulnerability is due to the use of `BUG_ON()` macros in error handling, which, when triggered by specific error conditions, could cause the kernel to crash.

This could result in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the system. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 4.7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H).

Weakness: CWE-617. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.
