Summary

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7921: fix resource leak in probe error path When pcim_iomap_region() or devm_kmemdup() fail, the code returns directly without cleaning up previously allocated resources: - mt76_device allocated by mt76_alloc_device() - pci irq vectors allocated by pci_alloc_irq_vectors() Fix this by jumping to the existing error cleanup path instead of returning directly.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mt76 wireless driver. This flaw occurs when certain memory allocation or I/O mapping functions fail during the probe error path, leading to a failure to deallocate previously reserved resources.

This can result in a resource leak, potentially leading to system instability or a denial of service (DoS) condition. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H).

Weakness: CWE-772. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.

Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.

Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
