Summary

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: clear iso_data always when detaching conn from hcon When setting conn->hcon = NULL, also conn->hcon->iso_data = NULL is necessary, otherwise later iso_conn_free() will UAF.

Fix clearing of iso_data in iso_sock_disconn() Fixes KASAN: slab-use-after-free in iso_conn_hold_unless_zero on iso_sock_release() followed by hci_abort_conn_sync(). This vulnerability arises from the system's failure to properly clear `iso_data` when a connection is detached from its host controller connection (`hcon`).

A local attacker could exploit this use-after-free condition to cause a denial of service or potentially achieve arbitrary code execution. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H).

Weakness: CWE-825. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.

Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.

Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
