Summary
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Wi-Fi driver (`rtl8723bs`). This vulnerability occurs because the system does not properly check the size of incoming Wireless Multimedia (WMM) information elements.
A remote attacker could exploit this by sending a specially crafted network message, leading to an out-of-bounds read. This could potentially expose sensitive information or cause the system to become unstable.
Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-125.
