Summary

OpenSSL versions 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, and 3.0 are susceptible to a vulnerability which when successfully exploited could lead to users utilizing a CMP server that reuses a single OSSL_CMP_CTX for the lifetime of a server process observing unbounded memory growth in the event that a malicious client repeatedly sends requests containing unique extra certificates, potentially leading to OOM conditions.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to Denial of Service (DoS). Affected products: NetApp HCI Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) - H610S.
