- To mitigate this issue, restrict network access to the OpenTelemetry Collector's OTLP ingestion endpoint to trusted internal networks only. This prevents untrusted remote OTLP senders from providing malicious `service.name` attributes that could exploit the path traversal vulnerability in the Sentry exporter. Ensure that any network firewalls or access control lists are configured to enforce this restriction.
