CVE-2026-72050Source published Source updated
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-af: Free BPID bitmap on setup failure nix_setup_bpids() allocates bp->bpids with rvu_alloc_bitmap(), which uses a plain kcalloc(). If any of the following devm_kcalloc() allocations for the BPID mapping arrays fails, the function returns without freeing the bitmap. Free the BPID bitmap before returning from those error paths. During the setup of BPID (Back Pressure ID) mapping arrays, if memory allocation fails, the BPID bitmap is not properly freed. This can lead to a memory leak, potentially impacting system stability or performance. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-772.
