In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: elx: efct: Fix I/O leak on unsupported additional CDB efct_dispatch_fcp_cmd() allocates an efct_io before dispatching an unsolicited FCP command. Free the allocated IO before returning from this error path. When processing an unsolicited Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP) command that contains an unsupported additional Command Descriptor Block (CDB), the system fails to properly free allocated I/O resources. This resource leak can lead to resource exhaustion over time, potentially resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the system.
