High [CVE-2026-72500] Free SRQ toggle page after firmware teardown
CVE-2026-72500Source published Source updated
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: Free SRQ toggle page after firmware teardown Free the toggle page only after firmware teardown completes so that an NQ interrupt arriving during bnxt_qplib_destroy_srq() won't write the toggle values to an already-freed page. Move free_page() after bnxt_qplib_destroy_srq(). A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) Broadcom NetXtreme-E (bnxt_re) driver. This use-after-free vulnerability occurs because a specific memory page is released prematurely during the teardown process. A local attacker could exploit this timing issue, potentially leading to memory corruption and a denial of service. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H).…
