High [CVE-2026-64375] protect ptrace_may_access with exec_update_lock (FD links)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: proc: protect ptrace_may_access() with exec_update_lock (FD links) proc_pid_get_link() and proc_pid_readlink() currently look up the task from the pid once, then do the ptrace access check on that task, then look up the task from the pid a second time to do the actual access. That's racy in several ways. To fix it, pass the task to the ->proc_get_link() handler, and instead of proc_fd_access_allowed(), introduce a new helper call_proc_get_link() that looks up and locks the task, does the access check, and calls ->proc_get_link(). A local attacker with low privileges could exploit a race condition within the `ptrace_may_access()` function when handling file descriptor links. This vulnerability arises because the system performs multiple task lookups without proper synchronization during access checks. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to bypass security restrictions, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure, modification of system data, or a denial of service. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-367. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.

High [CVE-2026-64320] fix pre-auth out-of-bounds heap read in Discovery Get Log Page

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: fix pre-auth out-of-bounds heap read in Discovery Get Log Page nvmet_execute_disc_get_log_page() validates only the dword alignment of the host-supplied Log Page Offset (lpo). The 64-bit offset is then added to a small kzalloc'd buffer that holds the discovery log page and the result is passed straight to nvmet_copy_to_sgl(), which memcpy()s data_len bytes out to the host with no source-side bound check: u64 offset = nvmet_get_log_page_offset(req->cmd); /* 64-bit host */ size_t data_len = nvmet_get_log_page_len(req->cmd); /* 32-bit host */... if (offset & 0x3) {... } /* only check */... alloc_len = sizeof(*hdr) + entry_size * discovery_log_entries(req); buffer = kzalloc(alloc_len, GFP_KERNEL);... status = nvmet_copy_to_sgl(req, 0, buffer + offset, data_len); The Discovery controller is unauthenticated -- nvmet_host_allowed() returns true unconditionally for the discovery subsystem -- so the call is reachable pre-authentication by any TCP/RDMA/FC peer that can reach the nvmet target. With a discovery log page of ~1 KiB, an attacker requesting up to 4 KiB starting at offset == alloc_len reads the next slab page out and gets its content returned over the fabric (an empirical run on a default nvmet-tcp loopback target leaked 81 canonical kernel pointers in one Get Log Page response).

High [CVE-2026-64527] validate VMBus packet size in receive callback

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/hyperv: validate VMBus packet size in receive callback hyperv_receive_sub() reads msg->vid_hdr.type and dispatches into one of four message-type branches without knowing how many bytes the host wrote into hv->recv_buf. The completion path then runs memcpy(hv->init_buf, msg, VMBUS_MAX_PACKET_SIZE), so the consumer that wakes on wait_for_completion_timeout() can read up to 16 KiB of residue from a prior message as if it were the response payload. Pass bytes_recvd into hyperv_receive_sub() and reject any packet that does not cover the pipe + synthvid header. A single switch on msg->vid_hdr.type then computes the type-specific payload size: the three completion-driving types (SYNTHVID_VERSION_RESPONSE, SYNTHVID_RESOLUTION_RESPONSE, SYNTHVID_VRAM_LOCATION_ACK) fall through to a shared exit that requires that size before memcpy/complete, while SYNTHVID_FEATURE_CHANGE validates its own payload and returns before reading is_dirt_needed. Unknown types are dropped. SYNTHVID_RESOLUTION_RESPONSE is variable length: the host fills resolution_count entries, not the full SYNTHVID_MAX_RESOLUTION_COUNT array. Validate the fixed prefix first so resolution_count can be read, bound it against the array, then require only the count-sized array, so the shorter responses the host actually sends are accepted.

High [CVE-2026-64267] avoid 32-bit prune notification count wrap

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: avoid 32-bit prune notification count wrap FUSE_NOTIFY_PRUNE validates the nodeid payload length with: size - sizeof(outarg)!= outarg.count * sizeof(u64) On 32-bit kernels, size_t is also 32 bits, so the daemon-controlled count multiplication can wrap. A prune notification with count 0x20000000 and no nodeid payload passes the check, enters the copy loop, and asks the device copy path to read nodeids that are not present in the userspace write buffer. In QEMU this reaches the fuse_copy_fill() BUG_ON(!err) path. Validate the payload length with array_size() instead. That accepts exactly the same valid messages, but avoids wrapping arithmetic before the copy loop consumes the count. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE) component. On 32-bit systems, an integer overflow vulnerability exists in the handling of `FUSE_NOTIFY_PRUNE` messages. A malicious FUSE daemon or a local user could craft a prune notification with a specific count, causing an integer overflow during payload length validation. This can lead to the kernel attempting to read non-existent data, resulting in a system crash and a Denial of Service (DoS). Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-190. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

High [CVE-2026-64471] fix use-after-free on registration failure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: fix use-after-free on registration failure Make sure to release the sibling interfaces in case controller registration fails to avoid use-after-free and double-free when they are eventually disconnected. This issue was reported by Sashiko while reviewing a fix for a wakeup source leak in the btusb probe errors paths. When a Bluetooth controller fails to register, the system may not properly release associated interfaces. This can lead to a use-after-free or double-free memory error when these interfaces are later disconnected, potentially causing system instability or a denial of service (DoS). Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-825. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. High [CVE-2026-64473] Remove device debugfs before releasing devres

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio: Remove device debugfs before releasing devres VFIO device debugfs files created with debugfs_create_devm_seqfile() store a devres allocated debugfs_devm_entry as inode private data. vfio_unregister_group_dev() currently calls vfio_device_del() before vfio_device_debugfs_exit(), but device_del() releases devres. This can leave debugfs entries visible with stale inode private data while unregister waits for userspace references to drain. The debugfs view is diagnostic only, so losing it at the start of unregister is preferable to preserving entries whose backing storage may already have been released. Complete the teardown by clearing the per-device debugfs root after removal. This matches the global debugfs root cleanup and prevents future users from mistaking a removed dentry for a live debugfs tree during the remainder of unregister. A flaw was found in the VFIO (Virtual Function I/O) subsystem of the Linux kernel. During device unregistration, debugfs (a diagnostic filesystem) entries might remain visible with outdated or "stale" data after the associated resources have been released. This occurs because the debugfs entries are not removed before the device resources are deallocated. While primarily affecting diagnostic views, this could lead to an attacker observing incorrect system state.

High [CVE-2026-64319] validate reply message payload bounds against transfer length

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-auth: validate reply message payload bounds against transfer length nvmet_auth_reply() accesses the variable-length rval[] array using attacker-controlled hl (hash length) and dhvlen (DH value length) fields without verifying they fit within the allocated buffer of tl bytes. A malicious NVMe-oF initiator can craft a DHCHAP_REPLY message with a small transfer length but large hl/dhvlen values, causing out-of-bounds heap reads when the target processes the DH public key (rval + 2*hl) or performs the host response memcmp. With DH authentication configured, the OOB pointer is passed directly to sg_init_one() and read by crypto_kpp_compute_shared_secret(), reaching up to 526 bytes past the buffer. This is exploitable pre-authentication. Add bounds validation ensuring sizeof(*data) + 2*hl + dhvlen <= tl before any access to the variable-length fields. Discovered by Atuin - Automated Vulnerability Discovery Engine. A remote attacker, by sending a specially crafted NVMe-oF (NVMe over Fabrics) authentication reply message, can cause an out-of-bounds read in the kernel's memory. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-125. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.

High [CVE-2026-64266] re-lock request before returning from fuse_ref_folio

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: re-lock request before returning from fuse_ref_folio() fuse_ref_folio() unlocks the request but does not re-lock it before returning. fuse_chan_abort() can end the request and the async end callback (eg fuse_writepage_free()) can free the args while the subsequent copy chain logic after fuse_ref_folio() accesses them, leading to use-after-free issues. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's FUSE (Filesystem in Userspace) component. A local attacker could exploit this flaw to potentially execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-825. High [CVE-2026-64304] qat - validate RSA CRT component lengths

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - validate RSA CRT component lengths The generic RSA key parser (rsa_helper.c) bounds each CRT component (p, q, dp, dq, qinv) by the modulus size n_sz, but qat_rsa_setkey_crt() allocates half-size DMA buffers (key_sz / 2) and right-aligns each component with: memcpy(dst + half_key_sz - len, src, len) When a CRT component is larger than half_key_sz the subtraction underflows and memcpy writes past the DMA buffer, causing memory corruption. Add a len > half_key_sz check next to the existing!len check for each of the five CRT components so the driver falls back to the non-CRT path instead of writing out of bounds. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's QAT (QuickAssist Technology) crypto module. This vulnerability occurs in the RSA key parser when handling CRT (Chinese Remainder Theorem) components. An underflow can happen during a memory copy operation if an RSA CRT component is larger than its allocated buffer, leading to memory corruption. This could potentially allow an attacker to cause system instability or execute arbitrary code. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-787. High [CVE-2026-64523] Take a long-lived file reference at submit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/handshake: Take a long-lived file reference at submit handshake_nl_accept_doit() needs the file pointer backing req->hr_sk->sk_socket to survive the window between handshake_req_next() and the subsequent FD_PREPARE() and get_file(). The submit-side sock_hold() does not provide that. sk_refcnt keeps struct sock alive, but struct socket is owned by sock->file: when the consumer fputs the last file reference, sock_release() tears the socket down regardless of any sock_hold. Add an hr_file pointer to struct handshake_req and acquire an explicit reference on sock->file during handshake_req_submit(). handshake_complete() and handshake_req_cancel() release the reference on the completion-bit-winning path. The submit error path must also release the file reference, but after rhashtable insertion a concurrent handshake_req_cancel() can discover the request and race the error path. Gate the error-path cleanup -- sk_destruct restoration, fput, and request destruction -- with test_and_set_bit(HANDSHAKE_F_REQ_COMPLETED), the same serialization handshake_complete() and handshake_req_cancel() already use. When cancel has already claimed ownership, the submit error path returns without touching the request; socket teardown handles final destruction.

High [CVE-2026-64286] Clear __hyp_running_vcpu when flushing the pKVM hyp vCPU

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Clear __hyp_running_vcpu when flushing the pKVM hyp vCPU flush_hyp_vcpu() copies the host vCPU context into the hyp's private vCPU on every run. ctxt_to_vcpu() expects a guest context to have a NULL __hyp_running_vcpu, which is only ever set on the host context, so that it resolves the vCPU via container_of(). While this is generally the case, flush_hyp_vcpu() copies the context verbatim and does not enforce this, so a value provided by the host is dereferenced at EL2 (host -> EL2). Fix by clearing __hyp_running_vcpu after the copy. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) for arm64 architecture. The `flush_hyp_vcpu()` function, responsible for copying the host virtual CPU (vCPU) context, does not properly clear a specific internal pointer (`__hyp_running_vcpu`). This oversight allows a host to provide a value that is then improperly accessed (dereferenced) at Exception Level 2 (EL2), potentially leading to arbitrary memory access within the hypervisor. This could allow a malicious host to compromise the integrity or availability of the hypervisor. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.

High [CVE-2026-64483] bound the sample count to the packet payload

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: firewire: isight: bound the sample count to the packet payload isight_packet() takes the frame count from the device iso packet and checks it only against the device claimed iso length. count = be32_to_cpu(payload->sample_count); if (likely(count samples, count); length is the iso header data_length. It can be up to 0xffff. So the gate allows a count up to about 16379. isight_samples() then copies count frames out of payload->samples into the PCM DMA buffer. payload->samples holds only 2 * MAX_FRAMES_PER_PACKET values. The device multiplexes two samples per frame. A count past the buffer size writes past runtime->dma_area. Bounding the count to MAX_FRAMES_PER_PACKET keeps both the read and the write in range. A malicious or faulty Apple iSight on the FireWire bus reaches this during a normal capture. A malicious or faulty Apple iSight device connected via FireWire can send specially crafted audio packets. The driver incorrectly processes the sample count in these packets, leading to a buffer overflow where data can be written beyond the allocated memory region. This could result in memory corruption, potentially impacting system stability or leading to further exploitation. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). High [CVE-2026-64438] qat - fix VF2PF work teardown race in adf_disable_sriov

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - fix VF2PF work teardown race in adf_disable_sriov() The VF2PF interrupt handler queues PF-side response work that stores a raw pointer to per-VF state (struct adf_accel_vf_info). Currently, adf_disable_sriov() destroys per-VF mutexes and frees vf_info without stopping new VF2PF work or waiting for in-flight workers to complete. A concurrently scheduled or already queued worker can then dereference freed memory. This manifests as a use-after-free when KASAN is enabled: BUG: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in mutex_lock+0x76/0xe0 Write of size 8 at addr 0000000000000260 by task kworker/24:2/... High [CVE-2026-64386] fix query_info replay double-free

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix query_info() replay double-free A response-bearing attempt can return a replayable error and free its response buffer. If SMB2_query_info_init() fails before the next send, cleanup retains the previous buffer type and frees that response again. Reset response bookkeeping before each attempt to prevent the stale free. High [CVE-2026-64255] validate sta_mask before ffs in BA session handlers

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: validate sta_mask before ffs() in BA session handlers Three BA session handlers use ffs(ba_data->sta_mask) - 1 to derive a station ID without checking that sta_mask is non-zero. When sta_mask is zero, ffs() returns 0 and the subtraction wraps to 0xFFFFFFFF, causing an out-of-bounds access on fw_id_to_link_sta[]. Add WARN_ON_ONCE(!ba_data->sta_mask) guards before each ffs() call, consistent with the existing check in iwl_mld_ampdu_rx_start(). A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's iwlwifi (Intel Wireless WiFi) driver. This vulnerability allows an attacker to cause an out-of-bounds memory access in the WiFi Block Acknowledgement (BA) session handlers. This occurs when the `sta_mask` value is zero, leading to an incorrect station ID calculation and potential system instability or denial of service. High [CVE-2026-64218] fix report_work leak on backbone_gw purge

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: bla: fix report_work leak on backbone_gw purge batadv_bla_purge_backbone_gw() removes stale backbone gateway entries, but fails to properly handle their associated report_work: - If report_work is running, the purge must wait for it to finish before freeing the backbone_gw, otherwise the worker may access freed memory (e.g. bat_priv). - If report_work is pending, the purge must cancel it and release the reference held for that pending work item. The previous implementation called hlist_for_each_entry_safe() inside a spin_lock_bh() section, but cancel_work_sync() may sleep and therefore cannot be called from within a spinlock-protected region. High [CVE-2026-64219] Validate payload length and link_index in dc_process_dmub_aux_transfer_async

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Validate payload length and link_index in dc_process_dmub_aux_transfer_async [Why&How] dc_process_dmub_aux_transfer_async() copies payload->length bytes into a 16-byte stack buffer (dpaux.data[16]) guarded only by an ASSERT(), which is a no-op in release builds. Additionally, link_index is used to dereference dc->links[] without bounds checking against dc->link_count, risking an out-of-bounds access. Replace the ASSERT with a hard runtime check that returns false when payload->length exceeds the destination buffer size, and add a bounds check for link_index before it is used.
