High [CVE-2026-63802] fix UAF in __blkcg_rstat_flush
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-cgroup: fix UAF in __blkcg_rstat_flush() When multiple blkgs in the same blkcg are released concurrently, a use-after-free can occur. The race happens when one blkg's __blkcg_rstat_flush() removes another blkg's iostat entries via llist_del_all(). The second blkg sees an empty list and proceeds to free itself while the first is still iterating over its entries. Move the flush from __blkg_release() (RCU callback) to blkg_release() (before call_rcu). This ensures the RCU grace period waits for any concurrent flush's rcu_read_lock() section to complete before freeing. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's block input/output control group (blk-cgroup) component. A race condition allows one group to remove another's entries while it is still in use, leading to premature memory deallocation. This can result in system instability or a denial of service. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-825. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-63801] fix slab-use-after-free Read in tipc_aead_decrypt_done
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: fix slab-use-after-free Read in tipc_aead_decrypt_done tipc_aead_decrypt() goes straight from tipc_bearer_hold(b) to crypto_aead_decrypt(req) without taking a reference on the netns, unlike the encrypt path. When crypto_aead_decrypt() is offloaded asynchronously (e.g. the SIMD aead wrapper queuing to cryptd), the cryptd worker runs tipc_aead_decrypt_done() later. If the bearer's netns is torn down in the meantime, cleanup_net() -> tipc_exit_net() -> tipc_crypto_stop() frees the per-netns tipc_crypto, and the completion then reads it: tipc_aead_decrypt_done() dereferences aead->crypto->stats and aead->crypto->net, and tipc_crypto_rcv_complete() dereferences aead->crypto->aead[] and the node table -- reading freed memory. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-53388] re-lock request before replacing page cache folio
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: re-lock request before replacing page cache folio fuse_try_move_folio() unlocks the request on entry but does not re-lock it on the success path. This means fuse_chan_abort() can end the request and free the fuse_io_args (eg fuse_readpages_end()) while the subsequent copy chain logic after fuse_try_move_folio() accesses the fuse_io_args, leading to use-after-free issues. Fix this by calling lock_request() before replace_page_cache_folio(). This ensures the request is locked on the success path which will prevent the fuse_io_args from being freed while the later copying logic runs, and also ensures that the ap->folios[i]->mapping is never null since ap->folios[i] will always point to the newfolio after replace_page_cache_folio(). A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE) component. The `fuse_try_move_folio()` function, responsible for managing page cache folios, fails to re-lock a request after initially unlocking it on a successful path. This oversight allows another function, `fuse_chan_abort()`, to prematurely free critical input/output arguments (`fuse_io_args`). Consequently, subsequent operations attempting to access these freed arguments can lead to a use-after-free vulnerability, potentially allowing an attacker to cause a system crash or execute arbitrary code.
High [CVE-2026-53391] reject zero-length r_addr in nfs4_decode_mp_ds_addr
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4/pNFS: reject zero-length r_addr in nfs4_decode_mp_ds_addr nfs4_decode_mp_ds_addr() decodes the r_netid and r_addr opaques of a netaddr4 from a GETDEVICEINFO multipath-DS body, then immediately calls strrchr(buf, '.') to locate the port separator. Both decodes use xdr_stream_decode_string_dup(), and the current code checks only "nlen < 0" / "rlen < 0" before dereferencing the returned string. When the on-wire opaque has length zero, xdr_stream_decode_opaque_inline() returns 0 and xdr_stream_decode_string_dup() falls through to its "*str = NULL; return ret" tail, leaving buf NULL with a return value of 0. The "< 0" check does not catch this, and the next line is strrchr(NULL, '.'), a kernel NULL pointer dereference reachable from any pNFS-flexfile client mounted against a malicious or compromised metadata server. Reject the zero-length cases explicitly so the decoder fails with -EBADMSG (treated as a malformed GETDEVICEINFO body) instead of panicking the client. The `nfs4_decode_mp_ds_addr` function, responsible for decoding network address information, does not properly handle zero-length `r_addr` opaque data. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; and 1 more.
High [CVE-2026-63830] preserve across SG transforms
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: skmsg: preserve sg.copy across SG transforms The sk_msg sg.copy bitmap is part of the scatterlist entry ownership state. A set bit tells sk_msg_compute_data_pointers() not to expose the entry through writable BPF ctx->data. This protects entries backed by pages that are not private to the sk_msg, such as splice-backed file page-cache pages. Several sk_msg transform paths move, copy, split, or compact msg->sg.data[] entries without moving the matching sg.copy bit. This can make an externally backed entry arrive at a new slot with a clear copy bit. A later SK_MSG verdict can then expose sg_virt(sge) as writable ctx->data and BPF stores can modify the original page cache. Keep sg.copy synchronized with sg.data[] whenever entries are transferred, shifted, split, or copied into a new sk_msg. Clear the bit when an entry is replaced by a newly allocated private page or freed. This covers the BPF pull/push/pop helpers, sk_msg_shift_left/right(), sk_msg_xfer(), and tls_split_open_record(), including the partial tail entry created during TLS open-record splitting. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's `sk_msg` networking component. This vulnerability arises when the `sg.copy` bitmap, which controls memory access permissions, is not properly maintained during data transformations.
High [CVE-2026-64037] fix TSO segmentation explosion when AMSDU is disabled
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: fix TSO segmentation explosion when AMSDU is disabled When the TLC notification disables AMSDU for a TID, the MLD driver sets max_tid_amsdu_len to the sentinel value 1. The TSO segmentation path in iwl_mld_tx_tso_segment() checks for zero but not for this sentinel, allowing it to reach the num_subframes calculation: num_subframes = (max_tid_amsdu_len + pad) / (subf_len + pad) = (1 + 2) / (1534 + 2) = 0 This zero propagates to iwl_tx_tso_segment() which sets: gso_size = num_subframes * mss = 0 Calling skb_gso_segment() with gso_size=0 creates over 32000 tiny segments from a single GSO skb. This floods the TX ring with ~1024 micro-frames (the rest are purged), creating a massive burst of TX completion events that can lead to memory corruption and a subsequent use-after-free in TCP's retransmit queue (refcount underflow in tcp_shifted_skb, NULL deref in tcp_rack_detect_loss). The MVM driver is immune because it checks mvmsta->amsdu_enabled before reaching the num_subframes calculation. The MLD driver has no equivalent bitmap check and relies solely on max_tid_amsdu_len, which does not catch the sentinel value. Fix this by detecting the sentinel value (max_tid_amsdu_len == 1) at the existing check and falling back to non-AMSDU TSO segmentation.
High [CVE-2026-64162] fix read_dev_clk_lock spinlock init in idpf_ptp_init
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: idpf: fix read_dev_clk_lock spinlock init in idpf_ptp_init() In idpf_ptp_init(), read_dev_clk_lock is initialized after ptp_schedule_worker() had already been called (and after idpf_ptp_settime64() could reach the lock). Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-64122] Fix use-after-free in mlx5e_tx_reporter_timeout_recover
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Fix use-after-free in mlx5e_tx_reporter_timeout_recover mlx5e_tx_reporter_timeout_recover() accesses sq->netdev after mlx5e_safe_reopen_channels() has torn down and freed the channel (and its embedded SQs). Replace the three sq->netdev references with priv->netdev which is safe because priv outlives channel teardown. The netdev_err() call already used priv->netdev for this reason; make the trylock/unlock and health_channel_eq_recover calls consistent. This fixes the following KASAN splat: BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in mlx5e_tx_reporter_timeout_recover+0x1dd/0x360 [mlx5_core] Read of size 8 at addr ffff889860ed0b28 by task kworker/u113:2/5277 Call Trace: mlx5e_tx_reporter_timeout_recover+0x1dd/0x360 [mlx5_core] devlink_health_reporter_recover+0xa2/0x150 devlink_health_report+0x254/0x7c0 mlx5e_reporter_tx_timeout+0x297/0x380 [mlx5_core] mlx5e_tx_timeout_work+0x109/0x170 [mlx5_core] process_one_work+0x677/0xf20 worker_thread+0x51f/0xd90 kthread+0x3a5/0x810 ret_from_fork+0x208/0x400 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mlx5e network driver. The mlx5e_tx_reporter_timeout_recover function attempts to access network device resources after they have been deallocated, leading to a use-after-free vulnerability.
High [CVE-2026-64136] protect tc_count increment in smb2_find_smb_sess_tcon_unlocked
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: protect tc_count increment in smb2_find_smb_sess_tcon_unlocked() Commit 96c4af418586 ("cifs: Fix locking usage for tcon fields") refactored cifs code to change cifs_tcp_ses_lock for tc_lock around tc_count changes. There was missing lock around tc_count increment inside smb2_find_smb_sess_tcon_unlocked(). This vulnerability, caused by an incomplete refactoring of locking mechanisms, could lead to unexpected behavior. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-414. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-64160] Fix potential for tearing in ->remote_i_size and ->zero_point
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix potential for tearing in ->remote_i_size and ->zero_point Fix potential tearing in using ->remote_i_size and ->zero_point by copying i_size_read() and i_size_write() and using the same seqcount as for i_size. We need to make sure that netfslib and the filesystems that use it always hold i_lock whilst updating any of the sizes to prevent i_size_seqcount from getting corrupted. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's network file system (netfs) component. This vulnerability, known as 'tearing', occurs when the system attempts to update file size information (`remote_i_size` and `zero_point`) without proper synchronization. This can lead to corrupted file size counters (`i_size_seqcount`), potentially causing data integrity issues or incorrect reporting of file sizes. An attacker could potentially exploit this to manipulate file sizes or cause system instability. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-821. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-64113] fix use-after-free in VEPA multicast source pruning
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ixgbevf: fix use-after-free in VEPA multicast source pruning ixgbevf_clean_rx_irq() prunes frames whose source MAC matches the VF's own address (VEPA multicast workaround) by freeing the skb and continuing to the next descriptor: dev_kfree_skb_irq(skb); continue; The skb pointer is declared outside the while loop and persists across iterations. Because the continue skips the "skb = NULL" reset at the bottom of the loop, the next iteration enters the "else if (skb)" path and calls ixgbevf_add_rx_frag() on the freed skb, dereferencing skb_shinfo(skb)->nr_frags - a use-after-free in NAPI softirq context. The sibling driver iavf already handles this correctly by nulling the pointer before continuing. Apply the same pattern here. I do not have ixgbevf hardware; the bug was found by static analysis (scan_drop_continue_loops.py + semgrep drop_continue_in_loop, multi-tool corroboration with the highest score in the scan). Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; and 1 more.
High [CVE-2026-64047] fix off-by-one in sg_chain entry count for wrapped sk_msg ring
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: tls: fix off-by-one in sg_chain entry count for wrapped sk_msg ring When an sk_msg scatterlist ring wraps (sg.end sg.data[msg_pl->sg.start], MAX_SKB_FRAGS - msg_pl->sg.start + 1, msg_pl->sg.data); This places the chain pointer at sg_chain(data[start], (MAX_SKB_FRAGS - msg_start + 1).. = &data[start] + (MAX_SKB_FRAGS - msg_start + 1) - 1 = data[start + (MAX_SKB_FRAGS - start + 1) - 1] = data[MAX_SKB_FRAGS] instead of the true last entry. This is likely due to a "race" of the commit under Fixes landing close to commit 031097d9e079 ("bpf: sk_msg, zap ingress queue on psock down") Convert to ARRAY_SIZE and drop the data[start] / - start (as suggested by Sabrina). A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Transport Layer Security (TLS) component. An off-by-one error in how memory is managed for network messages can lead to memory corruption. This vulnerability may allow a local attacker to cause the system to crash, resulting in a denial of service (DoS). Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-193. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-64042] Check BAR resources before exporting a DMABUF
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio/pci: Check BAR resources before exporting a DMABUF A DMABUF exports access to BAR resources and, although they are requested at startup time, we need to ensure they really were reserved before exporting. Otherwise, it's possible to access unreserved resources through the export. Add a check to the DMABUF-creation path. This vulnerability occurs because the Direct Memory Access Buffer (DMABUF) export mechanism does not adequately verify if Base Address Register (BAR) resources are properly reserved before allowing access. A local attacker could exploit this by exporting a DMABUF, potentially gaining unauthorized access to unreserved system resources. This could lead to information disclosure or other unintended system behavior. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-1220. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel.
High [CVE-2026-64068] Fix missing locking around retry adding new subreqs
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix missing locking around retry adding new subreqs Fix netfs_retry_read_subrequests() and netfs_retry_write_stream() to take the appropriate lock when adding extra subrequests into stream->subrequests. An attacker could potentially exploit this race condition, which may lead to system instability or a denial of service (DoS). Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-413. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel.
High [CVE-2026-64054] reject duplicate leaves in GROUP request
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: shaper: reject duplicate leaves in GROUP request net_shaper_nl_group_doit() does not deduplicate NET_SHAPER_A_LEAVES entries. When userspace supplies the same leaf handle twice, the same old-parent pointer lands twice in old_nodes[]. The cleanup loop double frees the parent. Of course the same parent may still be in old_nodes[] twice if we are moving multiple of its leaves. Note that this patch also implicitly fixes the fact that the i >= leaves_count path forgets to set ret. This vulnerability occurs because the `net_shaper_nl_group_doit()` function does not properly handle duplicate leaf entries in a GROUP request. A local attacker could exploit this by supplying the same leaf handle multiple times, leading to a double free of the parent pointer. This memory corruption can result in a denial of service or potentially lead to further compromise of the system. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-1341. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-64078] add and use xtables_unregister_table_exit
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: add and use xtables_unregister_table_exit Previous change added xtables_unregister_table_pre_exit to detach the table from the packetpath and to unlink it from the active table list. In case of rmmod, userspace that is doing set/getsockopt for this table will not be able to re-instantiate the table: 1. The larval table has been removed already 2. existing instantiated table is no longer on the xt pernet table list. This adds the second stage helper: unlink the table from the dying list, free the hook ops (if any) and do the audit notification. It replaces xt_unregister_table(). This vulnerability occurs when a userspace process attempts to re-instantiate a netfilter table after the module has been removed. Due to an incomplete unregistration process, the table cannot be properly re-established, potentially leading to a denial of service for network filtering functionalities. This issue is resolved by ensuring a complete unregistration of the table. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7.1 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-459. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel.
High [CVE-2026-63928] fix memory corruption with small endpoint
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: omninet: fix memory corruption with small endpoint Make sure that the bulk-out buffers are at least as large as the hardcoded transfer size to avoid user-controlled slab corruption should a malicious device report a smaller endpoint max packet size than expected. A malicious Universal Serial Bus (USB) device could exploit this by reporting a smaller maximum packet size than anticipated. This action would cause the system to allocate undersized data buffers, leading to memory corruption. Such corruption could allow an attacker to trigger a denial of service or potentially execute unauthorized code. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-787. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-63945] serialize iso_sock_clear_timer with socket lock
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: serialize iso_sock_clear_timer with socket lock iso_sock_close() calls iso_sock_clear_timer() before acquiring lock_sock(sk). iso_sock_clear_timer() reads iso_pi(sk)->conn twice without the socket lock held: if (!iso_pi(sk)->conn) return; cancel_delayed_work(&iso_pi(sk)->conn->timeout_work); Concurrently, iso_conn_del() executes under lock_sock(sk) and calls iso_chan_del(), which sets iso_pi(sk)->conn to NULL and may result in the final reference to the connection being dropped: CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- iso_sock_clear_timer() if (conn!= NULL)... lock_sock(sk) iso_chan_del() iso_pi(sk)->conn = NULL cancel_delayed_work(conn) /* NULL deref or UAF */ iso_pi(sk)->conn is not stable across the unlock window, causing a NULL pointer dereference or use-after-free. Serialize iso_sock_clear_timer() with the socket lock by moving it inside lock_sock()/release_sock(), matching the pattern used in iso_conn_del() and all other call sites. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth ISO (Isochronous Stream) subsystem. A race condition exists where the `iso_sock_clear_timer()` function can access connection data without proper locking, while another function, `iso_conn_del()`, concurrently modifies the same data.
High [CVE-2026-64035] set tx buffer type for SMD frames
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igc: set tx buffer type for SMD frames Sashiko pointed out that igc_fpe_init_smd_frame() initializes igc_tx_buffer fields for an SMD skb, but does not set the buffer type: Since igc_tx_buffer entries are reused, a stale XDP or XSK type can remain and make TX completion use the wrong cleanup path. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's igc network driver. The `igc_fpe_init_smd_frame()` function, responsible for initializing transmit (TX) buffer fields for Stream-based Data (SMD) frames, does not correctly set the buffer type. This can result in stale XDP (eXpress Data Path) or XSK (AF_XDP socket) types persisting in reused TX buffer entries. Consequently, the system's TX completion process may follow an incorrect cleanup path, potentially leading to memory corruption or system instability. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-909. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-64117] capture fast-RX rate before mesh reuses skb->cb
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: capture fast-RX rate before mesh reuses skb->cb ieee80211_invoke_fast_rx() reads RX status through IEEE80211_SKB_RXCB(skb), which aliases the same skb->cb storage that ieee80211_rx_mesh_data() reuses as IEEE80211_TX_INFO. In the unicast forward path, mesh_data does: info = IEEE80211_SKB_CB(fwd_skb); memset(info, 0, sizeof(*info)); on the same skb the caller still names via rx->skb, then either queues the skb for TX (success) or kfree_skb()'s it (no-route) before returning RX_QUEUED. The caller's RX_QUEUED arm then calls sta_stats_encode_rate(status) on memory that is either zeroed (success path) or freed (no-route path). The latter is KASAN slab-use-after-free in ieee80211_prepare_and_rx_handle. Fix by encoding the rate from status before invoking ieee80211_rx_mesh_data(), so the RX_QUEUED arm consumes a value captured while status was still backed by valid memory. This use-after-free vulnerability arises from incorrect handling of fast-RX rate data during mesh processing. This can lead to memory corruption, which an attacker could potentially exploit to cause a system crash (denial of service) or, in some cases, execute unauthorized code. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-825.
