High [CVE-2026-55192] Out-of-bounds read leads to memory disclosure or client crash
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, FreeRDP H.264 decoder backends can return YUV planes sized from the bitstream without comparing the decoded width and height to the RDPGFX surface dimensions used to validate region rectangles. A malicious RDP server can provide an AVC420 or AVC444 bitstream whose decoded frame is smaller than the negotiated surface, causing yuv420_context_decode and the YUV-to-RGB conversion paths to read beyond the decoder-owned planes in libfreerdp/codec/h264.c and the selected H.264 backend. This can disclose client memory or crash the client. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0. A flaw was found in FreeRDP. When handling AVC420 or AVC444 bitstreams, decoder backends fail to validate frame dimensions against negotiated RDPGFX surface boundaries. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 8.1 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-125. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Red Hat lists Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 as not affected. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:68707. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: freerdp.
High [CVE-2026-55194] Heap-buffer-overflow allows arbitrary code execution via crafted RPC response
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, rpc_client_recv_fragment in libfreerdp/core/gateway/rpc_client.c ensures the response reassembly stream capacity using only the server-declared alloc_hint rather than the actual StubLength about to be written. A malicious TS Gateway can send a PTYPE_RESPONSE with a small alloc_hint and a much larger frag_length, causing Stream_Write to copy attacker-controlled stub data beyond the 4096-byte pdu->s buffer. This can crash the client and may permit code execution through heap corruption. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0. A flaw was found in FreeRDP. A remote attacker, specifically a malicious TS Gateway, can exploit a heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability by sending a specially crafted Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) response. This occurs because the client incorrectly uses a smaller `alloc_hint` value instead of the actual `StubLength` for buffer capacity during response reassembly. This allows attacker-controlled data to be written beyond the intended buffer, leading to a client crash and potentially enabling arbitrary code execution. This can result in client crashes or potential arbitrary code execution. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 8.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-120.
High [CVE-2026-55193] Remote code execution or client crash via malicious TS Gateway
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, FreeRDP clients using TS Gateway accept a server-controlled max_xmit_frag value in libfreerdp/core/gateway/rpc_bind.c without bounding it to the 4088-byte ReceiveFragment allocation. A malicious gateway can advertise 65535 and then send a response fragment of the same length, causing rpc_channel_read in libfreerdp/core/gateway/rpc.c to write up to 65535 bytes into the smaller ReceiveFragment buffer. This can crash the client and may permit code execution through attacker-controlled heap corruption. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0. A flaw was found in FreeRDP. FreeRDP clients using TS Gateway are vulnerable to a heap-buffer-overflow. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 8.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-120. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 Advanced Mission Critical Update Support; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 Extended Update Support Long-Life Add-On; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6 Advanced Mission Critical Update Support; and 9 more.
High [CVE-2026-55191] Arbitrary code execution via heap-buffer-overflow in AVC444 YUV buffer allocation
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, FreeRDP clients that negotiate RDPGFX AVC444 with an H.264 decoder backend calculate the intermediate YUV444 allocation size in libfreerdp/codec/h264.c with 32-bit multiplication in avc444_ensure_buffer. A malicious RDP server can supply surface dimensions for which piDstStride multiplied by padDstHeight wraps to a small nonzero value, causing winpr_aligned_recalloc to allocate an undersized buffer before YUV420CombineToYUV444 writes using the actual stride and rectangle dimensions. This can cause a client crash and may permit code execution through attacker-influenced heap corruption. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0. A flaw was found in FreeRDP. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 8.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-787. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: freerdp.
High [CVE-2026-76235] unauthenticated remote memory leak via CockpitLang cookie in send_login_html
A memory leak flaw was found in cockpit-ws. The login page handler leaks a heap allocation on every unauthenticated request that carries a CockpitLang cookie, allowing a remote unauthenticated attacker to exhaust memory on the host and cause a denial of service. Red Hat rates this issue as Moderate impact. Although cockpit-ws is reachable by an unauthenticated remote client and the resulting memory exhaustion can be sustained indefinitely, cockpit-ws is a stateless web console component: its crash or restart does not itself compromise the confidentiality or integrity of the host or of other running services, and the process is automatically restarted by systemd. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 7.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-401. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat lists Red Hat OpenShift Dev Spaces as not affected. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: cockpit.
High [CVE-2026-76041] Information leak in Skia
Information leak in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.169 allowed a remote attacker to potentially bypass web origin policy via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) An information leak flaw was found in the Skia component of the Chromium browser. Upstream bug(s): Red Hat Product Security rates the severity of this flaw as determined by the Google Chrome Security Advisory. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7.4 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-346. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: webkitgtk4; Red Hat package: webkit2gtk3.
High [CVE-2026-17106] Arbitrary file write via link following in tar extraction
The tar extraction routines in moby/go-archive (Unpack, UnpackLayer, Untar/UntarUncompressed, and the ApplyLayer helpers) do not confine filesystem operations to the destination directory. The extractor decides where each archive entry lands using lexical string checks and then performs the filesystem operation on a path that is resolved by the OS, so links introduced by the archive can be followed out of the destination directory. An attacker who controls the contents of an archive can create or overwrite files at arbitrary paths writable by the extracting process. This could lead to unauthorized modification of system files or potentially arbitrary code execution. This Important severity vulnerability in `moby/go-archive` allows for arbitrary file writes during tar extraction. An attacker providing a specially crafted tar archive can exploit symlink following to create or overwrite files outside the intended directory, potentially leading to system compromise in environments processing untrusted archives, such as container build systems. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-59. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Hardened Images; Confidential Compute Attestation; Cryostat 4; Kernel Module Management Operator for Red Hat Openshift; and 19 more.
High [CVE-2026-63639] Remote code execution via use-after-free in stream deserialization
Valkey is a distributed key-value database. Prior to 7.2.14, 8.0.10, 8.1.9, 9.0.5, and 9.1.1, Valkey's RESTORE command accepts a malformed RDB stream payload that assigns one Pending Entry List NACK to multiple consumers during stream consumer-group deserialization, causing a use-after-free when one consumer is deleted while another still references the shared NACK and potentially allowing remote code execution. This issue is fixed in versions 7.2.14, 8.0.10, 8.1.9, 9.0.5, and 9.1.1. This occurs when a malformed data stream is processed during stream deserialization, causing a shared resource to be improperly managed. If successfully exploited, this flaw could lead to remote code execution. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 8.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-825.
