Medium [CVE-2026-33382] Denial of Service via excessive memory allocation from large API request payloads

Several Grafana API endpoints, some of them unauthenticated, do not limit the size of the request body before processing it. An attacker can send very large payloads that force excessive memory allocation, potentially exhausting memory and causing a denial of service. A flaw in Grafana's API endpoints allows remote attackers to send excessively large request bodies without authentication. This exhausts server memory, resulting in a complete denial of service (DoS). Moderate: This denial of service vulnerability in Grafana stems from a lack of request body size limits on certain API endpoints, some of which are unauthenticated. Exploitation by a remote attacker sending large payloads can exhaust system memory, leading to service unavailability. The impact is assessed as Moderate because it primarily affects the availability of the Grafana application rather than compromising data or executing arbitrary code. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L). Weakness: CWE-770. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support; Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Ceph Storage 9; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: grafana.

Medium [CVE-2026-56373] Use-after-free vulnerability in PDB decoder allows denial of service or limited data corruption.

ImageMagick before 7.1.2-15 contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the PDB decoder that uses a stale pointer when memory allocation fails. Attackers can trigger this vulnerability by processing malicious PDB files to cause crashes or write a single zero byte to freed memory. A flaw was found in ImageMagick. This use-after-free vulnerability (CWE-416) exists within the PDB (Program Database) decoder. A remote attacker could exploit this by tricking a user into processing a specially crafted malicious PDB file. This could lead to a denial of service (DoS) due to application crashes or potentially allow for a single zero-byte write to freed memory, resulting in limited data corruption. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.9 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H). Weakness: CWE-825. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: imagemagick.

Medium [CVE-2026-14461] Denial of Service via crafted DNS responses

mtr is vulnerable to Out-of-bound read vulnerability in ipinfo_lookup() function. An attacker who can influence the TXT response used for AS lookups can trigger this bug by returning a DNS response that is larger than 512 bytes and uses a crafted compression pointer in the answer NAME field. ipinfo_lookup() function uses the length of the response as the end-of-message boundary for dn_expand() function. The result is a reliable crash. This issue exists in the mtr through version 0.96 and it was fixed in commit 48e1794414d338ce47abc0f27c25ade8788af9c3. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-823. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: mtr.

Medium [CVE-2026-42771] Possible Out of Bounds Read in X509_VERIFY_PARAM_set1_email

Issue summary: When the X509_VERIFY_PARAM_set1_email is called by an application to validate a crafted e-mail address, such as during S/MIME message validation, an out of bounds read can happen. Impact summary: This out of bounds read will not directly exfiltrate the data read to the attacker so the most likely result is a crash and a Denial of Service. An internal helper function called from X509_VERIFY_PARAM_[set|add]_email() used a wrong length when validating the local part of an email address. This could cause the 64 octet limit on the local part of an email address to be not enforced, or cause an out of bound read and potentially a crash. The bug is reachable via S-MIME validation with a crafted From: address supplied in an email message that can potentially cause a crash. No FIPS modules are affected by this issue as the affected code is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. A flaw was found in OpenSSL. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious email, leading to an application crash and a Denial of Service (DoS). This flaw is rated as Low impact. A possible out-of-bounds read in OpenSSL's X509_VERIFY_PARAM_set1_email() function can occur when an application validates a specially crafted S/MIME email address. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-805.

Medium [CVE-2026-39244] Denial of Service via crafted ZIP file leading to excessive memory allocation

adm-zip before 0.5.18 is vulnerable to denial of service via a crafted ZIP file with a manipulated uncompressed size header field. In zipEntry.js line 103, Buffer.alloc(_centralHeader.size) allocates memory based on the declared uncompressed size from the ZIP central directory header without validating it against the actual compressed data size or imposing any upper bound. The size value is read directly from the binary header at entryHeader.js line 266 with no bounds check. An attacker can craft a ~120-byte ZIP file that declares ~4GB uncompressed size, causing a memory allocation amplification ratio of over 33 million to 1. The allocation occurs before CRC validation, so the malicious payload cannot be rejected early. All extraction and read methods are affected: readFile(), readAsText(), extractEntryTo(), extractAllTo(), extractAllToAsync(), test(), and entry.getData(). Any application accepting untrusted ZIP files via adm-zip is vulnerable to immediate process crash. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted ZIP file. The file's header can be manipulated to declare an extremely large uncompressed size, causing the application to allocate an excessive amount of memory. A denial of service flaw exists in adm-zip, affecting applications that process untrusted ZIP archives.

Medium [CVE-2026-59856] Arbitrary code execution via crafted PHP file in omni-completion

Vim is an open source, command line text editor. Prior to 9.2.0736, the PHP omni-completion script in runtime/autoload/phpcomplete.vim interpolates a class or trait name, taken from the contents of the edited buffer, into a search() pattern that is run via win_execute() without escaping. A name containing a single quote can terminate the search() string argument early, and because the bar is honored as an Ex command separator, the remainder of the name is run as Ex commands; via the:! command this allows arbitrary operating-system command execution when a victim opens a crafted PHP file and invokes omni-completion. This issue is fixed in version 9.2.0736. The PHP omni-completion script improperly handles specially crafted input. Red Hat Product Security has rated this vulnerability as having a Moderate impact. While successful exploitation allows for arbitrary operating-system command execution when a user opens a crafted PHP file and triggers omni-completion, this feature is disabled by default in Red Hat products. The requirement for a non-default configuration, combined with mandatory user interaction, significantly reduces the real-world risk." Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L). Weakness: CWE-94.

Medium [CVE-2026-59858] Arbitrary command execution via crafted tags file in C omni-completion

Vim is an open source, command line text editor. Prior to 9.2.0735, the C omni-completion script in runtime/autoload/ccomplete.vim interpolates the typeref: or typename: extension field of a tags entry, without escaping, into a:vimgrep pattern that is run through:execute. Because:vimgrep honors the bar as a command separator, a crafted tag field can close the search pattern and append an arbitrary Ex command; opening a hostile.c file whose project tags file contains such an entry and invoking C omni-completion runs that command as the editing user. This issue is fixed in version 9.2.0735. A command injection vulnerability in Vim's C omni-completion script allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands if a user is tricked into opening a maliciously crafted tags file and manually invoking the autocomplete feature. Exploitation requires a user to open a specially crafted C source file along with a malicious project tags file and then invoke C omni-completion. This limits the attack vector as it relies on specific user interaction and the presence of a hostile tags file, making it less likely to be exploited without user awareness. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:L). Weakness: CWE-94.

Medium [CVE-2026-59857] Denial of Service via out-of-bounds write in spell sound-folding

Vim is an open source, command line text editor. Prior to 9.2.0725, the single-byte branch of spell_soundfold_sal() in src/spell.c translates a word through a spell file's SAL sound-folding rules into a caller-owned result buffer, but its result writes are guarded with reslen < MAXWLEN, allowing reslen to reach MAXWLEN before res[reslen] = NUL writes one byte past the end of the MAXWLEN-element stack buffer. A boundary-length word passed to soundfold(), or reached via sound-based spell suggestion while a SAL-based spell language is active under a non-multibyte 8-bit encoding, can corrupt the eval_soundfold() stack frame and crash the editor. This issue is fixed in version 9.2.0725. An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in Vim's spell_soundfold_sal() function allows an attacker to corrupt memory and crash the editor (Denial of Service) by supplying a specially crafted word during spell sound-folding. This Moderate impact flaw in Vim's spell sound-folding feature can lead to a denial of service. This vulnerability primarily affects interactive users of the Vim text editor.
