Medium [CVE-2025-49506] Information disclosure via timing attack in password validation
APR-util versions 1.6.3 (and earlier) function apr_password_validate() was not constant-time with regards to hashes or passwords comparisons, potentially leaking their content via a side channel timing attack particularly on platforms without crypt() such as Windows, BeOS, NetWare, or Android. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.6.4, which fixes this issue. A flaw was found in Apache Portable Runtime Utility (apr-util). By observing the time differences in comparisons, an attacker could potentially deduce the content of sensitive information like password hashes. This vulnerability is assessed as Low Impact due to significant practical exploitation barriers. While the theoretical outcome of a successful timing attack is hash disclosure (Confidentiality: High), isolating microsecond-level comparison differences over a network is rendered practically infeasible by unpredictable network latency, packet jitter, and server scheduling noise (Attack Complexity: High). Additionally, RHEL environments natively rely on the system crypt() implementation for standard password checks, bypassing the vulnerable non-constant-time fallback code path in standard deployment scenarios. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.9 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-208.
Medium [CVE-2026-32327] Denial of Service via XML stack recursion attack
Denial of Service via XML stack recursion attack. Red Hat rates this moderate (CVSS 6.2). Weakness: CWE-776. Red Hat lists fixing advisory RHSA-2026:58474 with package apr-util-main-1.6.5-1.hum1.
Medium [CVE-2026-57818] Authorization Code Replay via Race Condition
A race condition in JCacheCodeDataProvider allows an attacker to redeem a single authorization code multiple times via concurrent requests, resulting in the issuance of multiple distinct, valid access tokens. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.3, 4.1.8 or 3.6.12, which fix this issue. A flaw was found in Apache CXF. This can result in the issuance of multiple distinct, valid access tokens, potentially leading to unauthorized access or session hijacking. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 4.2 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N). Weakness: CWE-639. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat build of Apache Camel 4.18.4 for Spring Boot 3.5.16; Red Hat JBoss Web Server 5. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat JBoss Web Server 5. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:71675.
Medium [CVE-2026-68079] Authorization code replay due to flaw in DefaultEncryptingCodeDataProvider
In Apache CXF's DefaultEncryptingCodeDataProvider, a captured authorization code can be redeemed an unlimited number of times due to a flaw in the implementation of the removeCodeGrant functionality. This violates the RFC requirement that "The authorization code MUST NOT be used more than once." Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.3 or 4.1.8 or 3.6.12, which fix this issue. The flaw exists due to an issue in the `removeCodeGrant` functionality, which fails to properly invalidate used authorization codes. This can lead to unauthorized access or session hijacking, violating the security principle that authorization codes should only be used once. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-613. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat build of Apache Camel 4.18.4 for Spring Boot 3.5.16; Red Hat JBoss Web Server 5. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat JBoss Web Server 5. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:71675.

Medium [CVE-2026-19028] Denial of Service via integer underflow in Fletcher32 filter
H5Z__filter_fletcher32 in H5Zfletcher32.c in HDF5 through 2.3.0 computes the data length to checksum by subtracting the 4-byte trailing checksum size from the input buffer size without checking that the buffer is at least 4 bytes, allowing a size_t underflow. This allows attackers to cause a denial of service (massively out-of-bounds read and application crash in H5_checksum_fletcher32) via a crafted HDF5 file with a Fletcher32-filtered chunk smaller than 4 bytes, triggered via H5Dread, e.g. by the h5ls or h5dump tools. A flaw was found in HDF5. An attacker can craft a malicious HDF5 file with a specially designed Fletcher32-filtered chunk. When this file is processed, an integer underflow occurs due to insufficient size validation, leading to a massive out-of-bounds read. An integer underflow vulnerability exists in HDF5's H5Z__filter_fletcher32() function within H5Zfletcher32.c. When reading dataset chunks via H5Dread(), the Fletcher32 filter subtracts a 4-byte checksum length from the buffer size without validating that the buffer is at least 4 bytes. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-125. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:73539.
Medium [CVE-2026-19027] Information disclosure and denial of service via crafted HDF5 file
The H5Z__nbit_decompress_one_byte, H5Z__nbit_decompress_one_nooptype, and H5Z__nbit_decompress_one_atomic functions in H5Znbit.c in HDF5 through 2.3.0 advance a read index into the compressed chunk buffer without bounding it against the buffer's actual size. This allows attackers to cause an out-of-bounds heap read, and in constrained cases disclosure of adjacent heap memory into decompressed dataset values, via a crafted HDF5 file whose N-Bit filter parameters describe more decompressed data than the stored compressed chunk actually contains, triggered via H5Dread, e.g. by the h5ls or h5repack tools. A flaw was found in HDF5, a widely used data management library. This vulnerability allows an attacker to craft a malicious HDF5 file that, when processed, can cause the application to read beyond its allocated memory. This out-of-bounds read could lead to the disclosure of sensitive information or result in a denial of service (DoS), making the application unavailable. A boundary validation flaw exists in the N-Bit decompression routines (H5Z__nbit_decompress_one_*) within the HDF5 library. When processing datasets via H5Dread(), the functions fail to bound the read index against the compressed buffer size. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3.
Medium [CVE-2026-19026] Denial of service via crafted HDF5 file
H5Z__filter_nbit in H5Znbit.c in HDF5 through 2.3.0 dereferences cd_values[0] through cd_values[4] without validating that cd_values is non-NULL or that cd_nelmts is at least 5, the fixed size of the filter's header. This allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted HDF5 file that stores the N-Bit filter pipeline message with zero client-data values, opened and read via H5Dread, e.g. by the h5ls or h5repack tools. A flaw was found in HDF5. A remote attacker could craft a malicious HDF5 file that, when opened and read, would cause an application using the HDF5 library to crash. This issue stems from improper validation of input data within the N-Bit filter, leading to a denial of service (DoS) and impacting the availability of services that process these files. When processing dataset pipelines, the function accesses elements in the cd_values array without verifying that the pointer is non-NULL or that cd_nelmts meets the minimum 5-element header requirement. Opening and reading this file using H5Dread() or utilities like h5ls and h5repack triggers a NULL pointer dereference or out-of-bounds read, causing an application crash and denial of service. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-476. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3.
Medium [CVE-2026-19025] Denial of Service due to malformed chunk data in files
H5O__layout_decode in H5Olayout.c in HDF5 through 2.3.0 does not validate that a chunked dataset's stored chunk-layout dimensionality matches its dataspace rank when an existing dataset is opened, whereas this check is performed only at dataset-creation time. This allows attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero and application crash in H5S__hyper_iter_get_seq_list in src/H5Shyper.c) via a crafted HDF5 file with mismatched chunk/dataspace ranks that is opened and read via H5Dopen2 and H5Dread, e.g. by the h5repack tool. A flaw was found in HDF5. An attacker can craft a malicious HDF5 file that, when opened and read by an application, exploits a validation bypass. This bypass, related to mismatched chunk-layout dimensionality and dataspace rank, leads to a divide-by-zero error, causing a denial of service (DoS) and application crash. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-369. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:61630.
Medium [CVE-2026-19024] Denial of service via malformed dataset
NULL pointer dereference in H5Pget_fill_value in HDF5 before 2.3.0 allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a dataset whose version 1 or 2 fill value message has the "defined" flag set together with a negative size field, which is not normalized to the library's "undefined" sentinel and reaches H5T_path_find with a NULL datatype. A flaw was found in HDF5. A local attacker could exploit a vulnerability in the `H5Pget_fill_value` function by providing a specially crafted dataset. This could lead to a denial of service, making the system unavailable. When this unnormalized structure is evaluated, it passes a NULL datatype pointer to H5T_path_find, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference. Successful exploitation causes the calling application process to terminate abruptly, resulting in a localized denial of service (DoS). Because the vulnerability results strictly in a NULL dereference crash without memory corruption, privilege escalation, or unauthorized data exposure, confidentiality and integrity are unaffected, and the blast radius is confined to the individual parsing process. Due to these reasons, this vulnerability has been rated with a Moderate severity. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-476. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3.

Path Traversal allows arbitrary file write. Red Hat rates this moderate (CVSS 6.9). Weakness: CWE-22. Affected product named by the advisory: Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2.
Medium [CVE-2026-71311] FTP command injection via CRLF in filename encoding
FTP command injection via CRLF in filename encoding. Red Hat rates this moderate (CVSS 6.4). Weakness: CWE-93.
Medium [CVE-2026-71310] Denial of Service via unbounded HTTP CONNECT response headers
Denial of Service via unbounded HTTP CONNECT response headers. Red Hat rates this moderate (CVSS 5.9). Weakness: CWE-770. Affected product named by the advisory: Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2.
Medium [CVE-2026-70429] Privilege escalation via inconsistent case sensitivity in user and group names
Jenkins 2.575 and earlier, LTS 2.568.1 and earlier handles case-insensitivity in user names and group names inconsistently, allowing attackers able to create new users or groups with names that case-insensitively match other characters to impersonate other users or be granted their permissions in some circumstances. A flaw was found in Jenkins. Due to inconsistent handling of case sensitivity in user and group names, an attacker with the ability to create new users or groups could exploit this vulnerability. By crafting user or group names that case-insensitively match existing ones, the attacker could impersonate other users or gain unauthorized permissions, leading to privilege escalation. Red Hat OpenShift Jenkins (ocp-tools-4) ships Jenkins core versions well below the fixed 2.568.2 LTS release and is affected. Exploitation requires an attacker who already has the ability to create new users or groups in the configured security realm, which supports Privileges Required: Low rather than None. This is consistent with how Red Hat resolved the sibling flaws from the same 2026-08-05 Jenkins security advisory, CVE-2026-70428 (arbitrary file write) and CVE-2026-70426 (remoting deserialization bypass), both of which affect the same ocp-tools-4/jenkins component and were resolved AFFECTED/DELEGATED with trackers filed.
