Medium [CVE-2026-65010] Arbitrary file write via symlink following
Datasets through 5.00, fixed in commit ad2d853, contains a symlink-following vulnerability in Extractor.extract() that allows local attackers to write arbitrary files by pre-planting symlinks at predictable output paths. Attackers can redirect archive extraction to arbitrary filesystem locations in shared-cache environments, enabling overwrite of sensitive files and potential privilege escalation or code execution. A flaw was found in Hugging Face Datasets through 5.00 in Extractor.extract(). When archive contents are extracted to predictable output paths, the extractor follows pre-planted symlinks instead of confining writes to the intended directory. Datasets is vulnerable to symlink following during archive extraction in Extractor.extract(). A local attacker with low privileges who can pre-plant symlinks at predictable output paths, and who can induce extraction (user interaction), may overwrite arbitrary filesystem locations. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.6 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-59. Affected Red Hat products: Exploit Intelligence; Lightspeed Core; Red Hat AI Inference Server; Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3; Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI). Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.
Medium [CVE-2026-65920] Information disclosure via path traversal vulnerability
Diffusers through 0.39.0, fixed in commit cee298c, contains a path traversal vulnerability in the _get_checkpoint_shard_files function that allows attackers to read arbitrary files by supplying malicious weight_map values in model index JSON. Attackers can use../ sequences or absolute paths in weight_map entries to escape the model directory and read safetensors files outside the intended location during model loading. A flaw was found in Diffusers. This could lead to information disclosure. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 4.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-22. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat AI Inference Server; Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3; Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI). Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.
Medium [CVE-2026-16768] out-of-bounds read in ico parser
A flaw was found in gdk-pixbuf. When parsing a specially crafted ICO file with pixel values that exceed the defined palette range, an out-of-bounds read can occur due to improper bounds checking against the actual palette size. This vulnerability causes heap bytes to be interpreted as valid palette indices and rendered as RGB pixel values in the output image, allowing an attacker to extract heap content via the generated output, such as a thumbnail. The only security impact of this issue is an information leak of memory contents via the generated output, such as a thumbnail. Also, the attacker does not have full control of the information obtained, further limiting its impact. Due to these reasons, this vulnerability has been rated with a moderate severity. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-125. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: gdk-pixbuf2.
Medium [CVE-2026-65698] Sensitive file exfiltration via AI agent path traversal vulnerability
Void through 1.3.4 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the AI agent file-reading tools that allows network-adjacent attackers to read arbitrary host files outside the open workspace by injecting instructions into content the agent processes. Attackers can supply absolute paths or file:// URIs through the read_file, ls_dir, get_dir_tree, and search_* tools, which lack workspace confinement and bypass the approval gate, enabling silent exfiltration of sensitive files such as SSH private keys or cloud credentials via subsequent tool calls. An attacker who can inject instructions into content the agent processes may read arbitrary host files and exfiltrate sensitive data such as SSH keys or cloud credentials. A remote attacker who can get malicious instructions into agent-processed content (user interaction, high attack complexity) may read files outside the workspace via absolute paths or file:// URIs and exfiltrate them through later tool calls. Affects Void through 1.3.4. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-22. Affected Red Hat products: Logging Subsystem for Red Hat OpenShift; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4. Red Hat lists Red Hat Hardened Images as not affected.
Medium [CVE-2026-54422] Credential extraction from bootc container deployment via /proc/1/root
In OpenStack Ironic Python Agent through 11.5.0, a malicious bootc container, when deployed using ironic-python-agent, may be able to extract the credentials used to download it. During bootc image deployment, the OCI registry pull secret was exposed to tenant-controlled container code running with host PID namespace visibility. A malicious bootc container image could read the operator's registry credentials from the host filesystem via /proc/1/root, leading to credential disclosure. This could allow a project-scoped tenant to extract shared operator registry credentials, potentially affecting multiple nodes and projects. Red Hat OpenStack Platform ships ironic-python-agent as part of its bare metal provisioning infrastructure. Deployments that use the bootc deploy_interface are affected by this vulnerability when operator-sourced registry pull secrets are used. The bootc deployment feature was introduced in more recent versions of ironic-python-agent. Older versions of Red Hat OpenStack Platform that ship ironic-python-agent versions prior to 10.2.0 are not affected as they do not contain bootc deployment support. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-522. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.
Medium [CVE-2026-43823] Denial of Service due to double-free during RSA public key initialization
When initializing an RSA public key from DER or PEM bytes throws an error, the EVP_PKEY* is double-freed: first in the catch block, then in the deinit. This can lead to a crash on future memory allocations. This double-free manifests when BoringSSL cannot decode the public key from the bytes provided. This vulnerability is addressed in swift-crypto version 4.5.1. When an RSA (Rivest-Shamir-Adleman) public key is initialized from DER (Distinguished Encoding Rules) or PEM (Privacy-Enhanced Mail) formatted bytes, and an error occurs during the decoding process, a double-free vulnerability can be triggered. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.2 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-763. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Hardened Images. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:45784, RHSA-2026:45785.
Medium [CVE-2026-16733] bahmutov find-cypress-specs: OS Command Injection via Branch Argument Manipulation
A weakness has been identified in bahmutov find-cypress-specs up to 1.54.12. The impacted element is the function shell.exec of the file src/index.js of the component Branch Handler. This manipulation of the argument --branch causes os command injection. The attack is restricted to local execution. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. A local attacker can exploit a vulnerability in the Branch Handler component by manipulating the '--branch' argument. This manipulation leads to an operating system (OS) command injection, allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system. This could result in unauthorized access, modification, or disruption of data and system resources. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L). Weakness: CWE-78. Affected Red Hat products: OpenShift Pipelines; Red Hat AMQ Broker 7. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.
Medium [CVE-2026-65903] Security bypass allows injection of malicious content
DOMPurify before 3.4.0 contains a logic error in the ADD_TAGS function where short-circuit evaluation allows forbidden tags to bypass FORBID_TAGS restrictions. Attackers can craft input containing tags listed in FORBID_TAGS that are also added via ADD_TAGS function, causing them to be retained in sanitized output. A flaw was found in DOMPurify. By crafting specific input, an attacker can cause tags that should be removed to remain in the sanitized output. This could lead to the injection of malicious content, potentially compromising the integrity of web pages. This Moderate flaw in DOMPurify allows an attacker to bypass content sanitization by crafting specific input, leading to the injection of malicious content. Exploitation requires user interaction, as an attacker must trick a user into processing the specially crafted input. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.1 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N). Weakness: CWE-79. Affected products named by the advisory: Cryostat 4; Migration Toolkit for Virtualization; Multicluster Engine for Kubernetes; Node HealthCheck Operator; and 29 more. Affected products named by the advisory: OpenShift Lightspeed; OpenShift Service Mesh 3; Red Hat 3scale API Management Platform 2; Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2; and 25 more.
Medium [CVE-2026-15037] XML injection via improper output neutralization in QDom serialization.
XML injection via improper output neutralization in QDom serialization. Red Hat rates this moderate (CVSS 5.3). Weakness: CWE-91.
Medium [CVE-2026-59677] Denial of Service via missing authorization in seunshares
A Missing Authorization vulnerability in selinux policycoreutils seunshares allows a user that is running in unconfined context to kill e.g. root-owned processes running also in unconfined context This issue affects policycoreutils through 3.10. That can cause denial of service by killing critical processes. A local low-privileged user running unconfined may kill other unconfined processes, including root-owned ones, causing denial of service. Default confined SELinux setups reduce the practical attack surface. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-266. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:44343. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: policycoreutils.
Medium [CVE-2026-59676] Arbitrary file deletion via TOCTOU race condition in seunshare
A Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition vulnerability in seunshare of selinux policycoreutils allows a user calling seunshare that is running in the unconfined SELinux domain to delete arbitrary root-owned files, This issue affects policycoreutils through 3.10. Removing critical system files can cause denial of service; integrity impact is limited to unauthorized deletion. Attack complexity is high. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H). Weakness: CWE-367. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:44343. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: policycoreutils.
Medium [CVE-2026-6390] GNU nano: Arbitrary memory writes, information disclosure, or denial of service via format string vulnerability in error handling.
A flaw was found in GNU nano's multi-buffer error message handling. When a user opens multiple files at startup and one triggers an ALERT-level error, a specially crafted filename containing printf format specifiers can be reinterpreted. This format string vulnerability may allow an attacker to achieve stack information disclosure, cause a denial of service (crash), or potentially perform arbitrary memory writes. The vulnerability affects nano versions 5.7 through 8.7 when compiled with multi-buffer support and without the NANO_TINY option. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-134. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: nano.
Medium [CVE-2026-21723] Denial of Service via uncontrolled memory usage in alertmanager templates
The alertmanager templates test endpoint (/api/alertmanager/grafana/config/api/v1/templates/test) can execute templates with no memory limits. Mass-executing templates in a short period causes OOM and crashes the Grafana service. The endpoint requires very low privileges and is exploitable with anonymous access enabled. A flaw was found in Grafana. This can lead to an Out-Of-Memory (OOM) error, causing the Grafana service to crash and resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). This Moderate flaw in Grafana allows a remote attacker to trigger a Denial of Service by repeatedly executing alertmanager templates. While requiring low privileges, or anonymous access if enabled, the high attack complexity limits the immediate threat, as it relies on exhausting memory through mass template execution. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-770. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Hardened Images; Multicluster Global Hub; Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2; Red Hat Ceph Storage 5; Red Hat Ceph Storage 6; Red Hat Ceph Storage 7; Red Hat Ceph Storage 8; Red Hat Ceph Storage 9; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat lists Red Hat Hardened Images as not affected. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:63164, RHSA-2026:63165, RHSA-2026:65157.
Medium [CVE-2026-16631] Arbitrary Command Execution via OS Command Injection
A vulnerability was detected in publint up to 0.1.4. This impacts the function child_process.exec of the file src/node/pack.js of the component package-manager Command Handler. The manipulation results in os command injection. Attacking locally is a requirement. The exploit is now public and may be used. The patch is identified as adf2d9a09945fc98c85a2520a89f441d78b2dbd8. It is advisable to implement a patch to correct this issue. The project maintainer explains: "I think it's very rare for someone to use this package with untrusted input". This allows the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system where publint is running, potentially leading to unauthorized system access or data manipulation. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L). Weakness: CWE-78. Red Hat lists Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Hardened Images as not affected.
Medium [CVE-2026-14899] Off-by-one out of bounds read in MIME header parser for forwarding
The code to parse MIME headers for display when forwarding a message (if the setting to view all headers was enabled) had an off-by-one error, allowing a single byte to be read from the memory after the buffer for the headers, and potentially crashing Thunderbird. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 153 and Thunderbird 140.13. Red Hat Product Security rates the severity of this flaw as determined by the Mozilla Foundation Security Advisory. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.1 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N). Weakness: CWE-125. Medium [CVE-2026-16615] weak random number generation in pkce implementation
A flaw was found in librest. The PKCE implementation for OAuth authorization uses the GRand function from the GLib API, a cryptographically insecure pseudo-random number generator. Because the generated "code verifier" lacks sufficient cryptographic entropy, a malicious actor can reverse-engineer the pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) seed to predict or reconstruct the code verifier string, allowing an attacker to bypass PKCE protections and successfully impersonate the client during the OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. This allows the attacker to hold a valid access token and impersonate the user, access their protected data and perform actions on their behalf. Due to these reasons, this vulnerability has been rated with an important severity. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 6.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N). Weakness: CWE-338. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:47085, RHSA-2026:62222. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: rest.
Medium [CVE-2026-16552] systemd-tmpfiles symlink-redirected arbitrary file overwrite via a CHASE_SAFE root-to-unprivileged ownership transition bypass
[REJECTED] A flaw was found in systemd-tmpfiles. When processing a tmpfiles.d configuration entry that writes to a file, systemd-tmpfiles can follow a symbolic link placed by an unprivileged local user, and an existing safety check does not detect this specific case because it always treats transitions away from the root user as safe. On systems where a tmpfiles.d configuration targets a path an unprivileged user can influence, this could allow that user to redirect a privileged systemd-tmpfiles write to a file of their choosing, though the content written remains determined by the existing configuration rather than by the unprivileged user. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to integrity. This CVE has been marked as rejected by the assigning CNA. Red Hat severity: not rated — CVSS 0 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-59. Red Hat lists Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 as not affected.
Medium [CVE-2026-53910] heap‑based buffer overflow due to multiple signed integer overflows in line‑mapping calculations
diff3 tool from GNU diffutils is vulnerable to a heap‑based buffer overflow due to multiple signed integer overflows in line‑mapping calculations. Incorrect arithmetic in mapping line ranges can result in corrupted values being used for memory allocation and loop bounds. When processing crafted diff output, these overflows may cause the application to allocate insufficient memory and subsequently perform out‑of‑bounds writes during internal processing. An attacker who can control the output of the diff program used by diff3 (e.g. via --diff-program pointing to a malicious script) can trigger out-of-bounds writes, resulting in a crash and potentially remote code execution depending on the environment. This issue has been fixed in commit 9ff04d5b84743e331e80b589335a52c5480d1815 NOTE: The project maintainers claim that this is not a security issue. They state that the worst outcome this issue can cause is a crash of diff and that it cannot be used to escalate privileges. A flaw was found in the diff3 program in the diffutils package. An attacker often needs prior execution privileges to supply the malicious diff output, meaning they already have the ability to execute arbitrary scripts on the system. Due to these reasons, this vulnerability has been rated with a low severity. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L). Weakness: CWE-190.
Medium [CVE-2026-56416] Heap buffer overflow via malformed DNSSEC record
In NLnet Labs Unbound up to and including version 1.25.1, when the validator builds the canonical RDATA form for an RRSIG-covered PX/RP/MINFO/SOA RRset, it computes the address of the second embedded domain name as 'datstart + dname_valid(datstart,...)' and passes it straight to 'query_dname_tolower()' without checking that a second name is actually present in the RDATA. The wire-format parser accepts multi-dname RRs whose RDATA ends after the first name, so an attacker who runs a DNSSEC-signed authoritative server can deliver a record with an absent second domain name (e.g. SOA record) and cause 'query_dname_tolower()' to walk label-by-label through stale bytes in the per-worker 'env->scratch_buffer', past the end of that heap allocation if 'msg-buffer-size' has been lowered from the default. This leads to heap buffer overflow and on a release build the outcome relies heavily on the contents of the buffer tail and the adjacent heap chunk. A vulnerability in Unbound allows remote attackers using malicious DNSSEC-signed servers to send malformed records that trigger a heap buffer overflow. This can cause a denial of service or potential limited information disclosure. Exploitation requires the Unbound DNSSEC validator to process malformed records, which may be exacerbated if `msg-buffer-size` is configured below its default value.
Medium [CVE-2026-55991] Denial of Service via crafted DNS-over-QUIC connection
In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.22.0 up to and including 1.25.1, a remote unauthenticated client can trigger a libngtcp2 assertion (if compiled with assertions on) and terminate the entire Unbound process using a single DNS-over-QUIC (DoQ) connection and one normal DNS query. This is caused by an erroneous error value passed to libngtcp2. When 'ngtcp2_conn_writev_stream()' returns 'NGTCP2_ERR_STREAM_DATA_BLOCKED', Unbound continues to call 'ngtcp2_ccerr_set_application_error()' with a '-1' error value. The 'int' literal '-1' is implicitly converted to the function's 'uint64_t error_code' parameter as '0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF'. The follow-on 'ngtcp2_conn_write_connection_close()' serialises that value as a QUIC variable-length integer; because '2^64-1' exceeds the 62-bit varint ceiling, 'ngtcp2_put_uvarintlen()' fails 'assert(n < 4611686018427387904ULL)' and the whole resolver process aborts. A remote, unauthenticated DoQ client can trigger this deterministically with a single QUIC connection by advertising 'initial_max_stream_data_bidi_local = 1' in its transport parameters and sending one DoQ query without ever reading the stream. A flaw was found in Unbound. This results in a Denial of Service (DoS), making the DNS resolver unavailable. This Moderate flaw in Unbound allows a remote, unauthenticated client to cause a denial of service.
