Critical [CVE-2026-48750] Incus has an arbitrary file write on host via `exec-output` symlink in crafted image

Incus is a system container and virtual machine manager. Prior to version 7.2.0, the `record-output` parameter of the `/instances/$name/exec` endpoint stores the output of the command in the `exec-output` directory of the instance. If `exec-output` is a symlink, file named `exec_UUID.stdout` and `exec_UUID.stderr` can be written to an arbitrary location where the `.stdout` file will contain arbitrary content. This behavior can be abused for arbitrary command execution. Version 7.2.0 contains a patch. A crafted container image can cause the host to write files to arbitrary locations via a symlink, potentially leading to command execution as root on the host. Incus is not shipped in any Red Hat product. The community Fedora package is affected. Red Hat severity: Critical — CVSS 9.9 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-61.

High [CVE-2026-77354] Denial of Service via uncontrolled resource consumption in deepObject query parameter decoding

kin-openapi is a Go project for handling OpenAPI files. From 0.124.0 until 0.142.0, openapi3filter.sliceMapToSlice in openapi3filter/req_resp_decoder.go converts attacker-controlled sparse indexes from a deepObject query parameter into a dense slice by allocating entries from zero through the largest supplied index, after which buildResObj creates another slice of the same length. This allocation occurs before schema validation, so maxItems does not prevent it. An unauthenticated client can send a small query such as param[items][50000000]=x to an endpoint whose deepObject schema contains an array, forcing multi-gigabyte heap allocation and causing an OOM kill or restart loop. Other request-body encodings and styled parameters that do not produce bracketed integer indexes are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.142.0. An unauthenticated client can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted query with a large index in a deepObject query parameter. This forces the application to allocate multi-gigabyte memory, leading to an Out-of-Memory (OOM) error or a restart loop, effectively causing a Denial of Service (DoS). Red Hat rates this flaw as Important because a small request can exhaust memory and terminate an exposed service.

High [CVE-2026-77219] Heap over-read leading to information disclosure via crafted image

GNU Emacs before 31.0.91 contains an integer overflow in the PBM/PPM/PGM image loader that allows an attacker to leak heap memory contents by supplying a crafted image with large dimensions and an elevated max color index. The image loader multiplies image dimensions and channel count using signed integer arithmetic; for sufficiently large values, the result wraps to a negative number, bypassing the bounds check and causing the pixel reader to access heap memory past the end of the allocated buffer. The over-read contents are interpreted as pixel color values and rendered on screen. By supplying a specially crafted image with large dimensions and an elevated maximum color index, the image loader's internal calculations can wrap to a negative number, bypassing memory bounds checks. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7.1 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-125. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: emacs.

High [CVE-2026-54789] Denial of Service via malformed state cookie parsing

mod_auth_openidc is an OpenID Certified authentication and authorization module for the Apache 2.x HTTP server that implements the OpenID Connect Relying Party functionality. Prior to 2.4.19.4, an out-of-bounds read and a one-byte out-of-bounds write exist in the state-cookie parser of `mod_auth_openidc`. The issue is fixed in version 2.4.19.4 by stopping the scan at the string terminator so a value-less token is rejected. No in-product workarounds are available. As a stop-gap, an upstream reverse proxy or WAF that rejects or normalizes malformed `Cookie` headers (tokens lacking `=`) can reduce exposure, but upgrading is the recommended remediation. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted HTTP request with a malformed state cookie. This is an Important denial of service flaw in `mod_auth_openidc`. Exploitation could lead to service unavailability for systems configured with `mod_auth_openidc` for OpenID Connect Relying Party functionality. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-125.

High [CVE-2026-49114] Arbitrary file write via symlink following and path traversal

In ONNX before 1.21.0, the 'save_external_data' function builds the external-data file path from the model's external_data location field and opens it for writing without 'O_NOFOLLOW/O_EXCL', after a non-atomic 'os.path.isfile()' check. A local attacker with write access to the directory where a victim serializes external data can deterministically pre-plant a symlink that is being followed, causing the victim's write to append to any file the victim can write, e.g. ~/.ssh/authorized_keys, cron files, or application configs. Fixed in 1.21.0. A flaw was found in ONNX. The `save_external_data` function is vulnerable to symlink following and path traversal. This allows the attacker to cause the victim's write operation to append to arbitrary files, potentially leading to unauthorized modification of critical system files. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-367. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI). Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.

High [CVE-2026-74581] use-after-free in fib6_rule_suppress due to stale res->rt6 pointer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipv6: clear suppressed fib6 rule result fib6_rule_suppress() drops a suppressed route with ip6_rt_put_flags(), but leaves res->rt6 pointing at the released rt6_info. If no later rule supplies a replacement, fib6_rule_lookup() still sees res.rt6 and returns that stale dst to its caller. A suppressing rule can therefore leak a released route back to rt6_lookup(), and the next put hits rcuref_put_slowpath() from dst_release(). Clear res->rt6 when suppressing the route so suppressed lookups fall through to the null dst instead of reusing the released one. A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's IPv6 FIB rule lookup path. The subsequent dst_release() then operates on freed memory, hitting rcuref_put_slowpath(). A local attacker who can configure IPv6 routing/FIB rules could trigger this to cause a denial of service (kernel crash) or potentially escalate privileges. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-416. High [CVE-2026-74583] fix fastmap use-after-free on filter

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_route: fix fastmap use-after-free on filter The route4 classifier maintains a 16-slot fastmap cache that stores raw struct route4_filter pointers indexed by (id, iif). The reader (route4_classify) populates this cache via route4_set_fastmap() for every classified packet that hits a filter. The writer (route4_delete, route4_change) clears the cache via route4_reset_fastmap() before RCU-deferred kfree of the filter. This creates a UAF race: 1. Reader walks the RCU-protected bucket chain, finds filter f 2. Writer unlinks f, calls route4_reset_fastmap(), then tcf_queue_work() 3. Reader calls route4_set_fastmap() and writes f into the cache *after* the writer's reset, caching a pointer about to be freed 4. After the RCU grace period, kfree(f) executes 5. Next classified packet on the same (id, iif) tuple hits the stale fastmap entry and reads f->res from freed memory Reproduced with an mdelay(100) accelerator in route4_set_fastmap() and a concurrent add/delete stress test (provided by both zdi and Santosh). Both triggered KASAN slab-use-after-free reports in the route4 fastmap paths. Fix: Introduce a per-filter boolean dying flag to suppress stale fastmap republishing by in-flight readers.

High [CVE-2026-74580] reset the vring metadata cache on vring reconfiguration

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost: reset the vring metadata cache on vring reconfiguration vq->meta_iotlb[] caches the vhost_iotlb_map that backs each vring metadata region, and iotlb_access_ok() returns early on a cache hit, taking the hit as proof that the region has already been validated: if (vhost_vq_meta_fetch(vq, addr, len, type)) return true; The cache is reset on VHOST_IOTLB_UPDATE and VHOST_IOTLB_INVALIDATE, on device IOTLB (re)initialisation and on vq reset, but not when VHOST_SET_VRING_ADDR replaces vq->desc, vq->avail and vq->used, nor when VHOST_SET_VRING_NUM changes the region sizes. With a device IOTLB attached both ioctls are accepted while the vq is live, and neither validates the addresses at ioctl time: vq_access_ok() and vq_log_used_access_ok() return true early because the addresses are GIOVAs, deferring validation to prefetch time. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 Extended Update Support; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; and 2 more.

High [CVE-2026-74582] use consistent hard_header_len in non-ring send paths

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: packet: use consistent hard_header_len in non-ring send paths packet_snd() reads dev->hard_header_len multiple times while allocating and constructing an skb. Device reconfiguration can change this value concurrently, for example through bonding device type changes. For SOCK_RAW, packet_snd() can save a larger value in reserve and later allocate headroom using a smaller value. Moving skb->data back by reserve then places it before skb->head, and the following copy from userspace can attempt an out-of-bounds write. packet_sendmsg_spkt() has the same issue because it calculates its reservation and header offset from separate reads before dropping the RCU read lock to allocate the skb. Add LL_RESERVED_SPACE_EX() for callers that already saved a header length. Read hard_header_len once in packet_snd() and use it for allocation and construction. In packet_sendmsg_spkt(), preserve the allocation-time value through the device lookup retry. The separate SOCK_DGRAM consistency problem between hard_header_len and header_ops->create is not addressed here. An out-of-bounds write problem was observed in packet_sendmsg_spkt in net/packet/af_packet.c in the Linux Kernel. In this flaw, AF_PACKET hard_header_len race may allow local privilege escalation.

Medium [CVE-2026-76905] Denial of Service via malformed multipart/form-data body

kin-openapi is a Go project for handling OpenAPI files. From 0.10.0 until 0.141.0, openapi3filter.convertParseError in openapi3filter/validation_error_encoder.go dereferences e.Parameter.In without checking whether e.Parameter is nil. A malformed non-string scalar field in a multipart/form-data request body produces a nested ParseError with a nil RequestError. Parameter, and applications that render the validation error through openapi3filter. ConvertErrors or ValidationErrorEncoder panic. An unauthenticated client can repeatedly send such requests to deny service when the application lacks a recovery boundary. JSON request bodies and applications that do not use these error-rendering helpers are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.141.0. This can cause applications that render validation errors through specific error-rendering helpers to panic, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). Red Hat scores A:L because the panic occurs inside an HTTP handler goroutine where Go's net/http automatically recovers it. Only the individual request fails; the server continues serving. The CNA scores A:H based on the theoretical case of no recovery boundary. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L). Weakness: CWE-476.
