Low [CVE-2026-64165] Fix early initialization

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ARM: integrator: Fix early initialization Starting with commit bdb249fce9ad4 ("ARM: integrator: read counter using syscon/regmap"), intcp_init_early calls syscon_regmap_lookup_by_compatible which in turn calls of_syscon_register. This function allocates memory. Since the memory management code has not been initialized at that time, the call always fails. It either returns -ENOMEM or crashes as follows. Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000c when read [0000000c] *pgd=00000000 Internal error: Oops: 5 [#1] ARM Modules linked in: CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper Not tainted 6.15.0-rc5-00026-g5fcc9bf84ee5 #1 PREEMPT Hardware name: ARM Integrator/CP (Device Tree) PC is at __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0xec/0x39c LR is at __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0x34/0x39c... The crash is not seen with all versions of gcc. Some versions such as gcc 9.x apparently do not dereference the pointer, presumably if tracing is disabled. The problem has been reproduced with gcc 10.x, 11.x, and 13.x. Fix the problem by moving the early initialization code into the standard machine initialization code. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel, specifically within the ARM Integrator/CP architecture. This can lead to a kernel crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected system.

Low [CVE-2026-64139] fix SID memory leak in set_posix_acl_entries_dacl on overflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix SID memory leak in set_posix_acl_entries_dacl() on overflow Commit 299f962c0b02 ("ksmbd: use check_add_overflow() to prevent u16 DACL size overflow") added check_add_overflow() guards that break out of the ACE-building loops in set_posix_acl_entries_dacl() when the accumulated DACL size would wrap past 65535. However, each iteration allocates a struct smb_sid via kmalloc_obj() at the top of the loop and relies on the kfree(sid) call at the end of the loop body (the 'pass_same_sid' label in the first loop, and the explicit kfree at the tail of the second loop) to release it. The newly introduced 'break' statements bypass those kfree() calls, leaking the sid buffer every time an overflow is detected. A malicious or malformed file with enough POSIX ACL entries to trip the overflow check will leak one or more struct smb_sid allocations on every request that touches the file's DACL, providing a trivial kernel memory exhaustion vector. Free sid before breaking out of the loops to plug the leak. A flaw was found in the ksmbd (kernel SMB daemon) component of the Linux kernel. A malicious or specially crafted file with a large number of POSIX Access Control List (ACL) entries can trigger a memory leak in the set_posix_acl_entries_dacl() function.

Low [CVE-2026-64129] fix spinlock leak in migrate_vma_insert_huge_pmd_page

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/migrate_device: fix spinlock leak in migrate_vma_insert_huge_pmd_page When check_stable_address_space() fails after the PMD spinlock has been acquired via pmd_lock(), the code jumps directly to the abort label, bypassing the spin_unlock() call in unlock_abort. This causes the PMD spinlock to be permanently held, leading to a deadlock. Change the goto target from abort to unlock_abort to ensure the spinlock is always released on this error path. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's memory management component. This vulnerability, located in the `migrate_vma_insert_huge_pmd_page` function, can lead to a spinlock being permanently held if a specific address space check fails. This unreleased spinlock can cause a system deadlock, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for affected systems. Red Hat severity: Low. Weakness: CWE-772. Low [CVE-2026-64056] Make RX SKB per-port

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: cortina: Make RX SKB per-port The SKB used to assemble packets from fragments in gmac_rx() is static local, but the Gemini has two ethernet ports, meaning there can be races between the ports on a bad day if a device is using both. Make the RX SKB a per-port variable and carry it over between invocations in the port struct instead. Zero the pointer once we call napi_gro_frags(), on error (after calling napi_free_frags()) or if the port is stopped. Zero it in some place where not strictly necessary just to emphasize what is going on. This was found by Sashiko during normal patch review. The driver used a single, shared buffer (SKB, or Socket Kernel Buffer) for assembling incoming network packets across multiple ethernet ports. This shared resource could lead to race conditions, where simultaneous access from different ports might cause unpredictable system behavior, potentially resulting in a denial of service or data integrity issues. Red Hat severity: Low. Weakness: CWE-820. Low [CVE-2026-64158] Fix write streaming disablement if fd open O_RDWR

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix write streaming disablement if fd open O_RDWR In netfs_perform_write(), "write streaming" (the caching of dirty data in dirty but!uptodate folios) is performed to avoid the need to read data that is just going to get immediately overwritten. However, this is/will be disabled in three circumstances: if the fd is open O_RDWR, if fscache is in use (as we need to round out the blocks for DIO) or if content encryption is enabled (again for rounding out purposes). The idea behind disabling it if the fd is open O_RDWR is that we'd need to flush the write-streaming page before we could read the data, particularly through mmap. But netfs now fills in the gaps if ->read_folio() is called on the page, so that is unnecessary. Further, this doesn't actually work if a separate fd is open for reading. Fix this by removing the check for O_RDWR, thereby allowing streaming writes even when we might read. This caused a number of problems with the generic/522 xfstest, but those are now fixed. The write streaming feature, which caches dirty data to avoid unnecessary reads, was incorrectly disabled when a file descriptor was opened with `O_RDWR` (read-write) mode.

Low [CVE-2026-64161] fix eth_ports_node leak in probe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ti: icssm-prueth: fix eth_ports_node leak in probe The error path on of_property_read_u32() failure inside icssm_prueth_probe() returns without putting eth_ports_node, which was acquired before the for_each_child_of_node() loop. Drop it before returning. This vulnerability occurs in the icssm_prueth_probe() function. When an error occurs during the of_property_read_u32() operation, a previously acquired eth_ports_node is not properly released. This oversight leads to a memory leak, which can impact system stability and resource availability over time. Red Hat severity: Low. Weakness: CWE-772. Low [CVE-2026-64147] fix debugfs_lookup dentry leak and error handling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pds_core: fix debugfs_lookup dentry leak and error handling debugfs_lookup() returns a dentry with an elevated reference count that must be released with dput(). The current code discards the returned dentry without calling dput(), causing a reference leak on every firmware reset recovery. Additionally, when CONFIG_DEBUG_FS is disabled, debugfs_lookup() returns ERR_PTR(-ENODEV), not NULL. The current check passes for error pointers and would call dput() on an invalid pointer, causing a crash. This vulnerability can lead to a resource leak due to unreleased dentry references during firmware reset recovery. Furthermore, improper error handling when the debug file system (debugfs) is disabled could cause the system to crash, resulting in a denial of service. Red Hat severity: Low. Weakness: CWE-772. Low [CVE-2026-64055] Carry over frag counter

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: cortina: Carry over frag counter The gmac_rx() NAPI poll function assembles packets in an SKB from a ring buffer. If the ring buffer gets completely emptied during a poll cycle, we exit gmac_rx(), but the packet is not yet completely assembled in the SKB, yet the fragment counter frag_nr is reset to zero on the next invocation. Solve this by making the RX fragment counter a part of the port struct, and carry it over between invocations. Reset the fragment counter only right after calling napi_gro_frags(), on error (after calling napi_free_frags()) or if stopping the port. Reset it in some place where not strictly necessary just to emphasize what is going on. This was found by Sashiko during normal patch review. When the network interface processes incoming packets, a counter used for reassembling fragmented packets can be prematurely reset. This can lead to incomplete packet reassembly, potentially causing network communication issues or denial of service. Red Hat severity: Low. Weakness: CWE-437. Make sure to the clear the DMA channel pointers on setup failure to avoid dereferencing an error pointer on later probe errors or driver unbind. This issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing a devres allocation conversion patch. This vulnerability occurs when the driver fails to properly clear Direct Memory Access (DMA) channel pointers after a DMA setup failure during probe. An attacker could potentially trigger a system crash, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). Red Hat severity: Low. Weakness: CWE-824. Low [CVE-2026-53368] fix fsck inconsistency caused by incorrect nat_entry flag usage

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix fsck inconsistency caused by incorrect nat_entry flag usage f2fs_need_dentry_mark() reads nat_entry flags without mutual exclusion with the checkpoint path, which can result in an incorrect inode block marking state. The scenario is as follows: create & write & fsync 'file A' write checkpoint - f2fs_do_sync_file // inline inode - f2fs_write_inode // inode folio is dirty - f2fs_write_checkpoint - f2fs_flush_merged_writes - f2fs_sync_node_pages - f2fs_fsync_node_pages // no dirty node - f2fs_need_inode_block_update // return true - f2fs_fsync_node_pages // inode dirtied - f2fs_need_dentry_mark //return true - f2fs_flush_nat_entries - f2fs_write_checkpoint end - __write_node_folio // inode with DENT_BIT_SHIFT set SPO, "fsck --dry-run" find inode has already checkpointed but still with DENT_BIT_SHIFT set The state observed by f2fs_need_dentry_mark() can differ from the state observed in __write_node_folio() after acquiring sbi->node_write. The root cause is that the semantics of IS_CHECKPOINTED and HAS_FSYNCED_INODE are only guaranteed after the checkpoint write has fully completed. This patch moves set_dentry_mark() into __write_node_folio() and protects it with the sbi->node_write lock. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's F2FS (Flash-Friendly File System) component.

Low [CVE-2026-53380] Fix concurrent buffer list access

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: rzv2h-ivc: Fix concurrent buffer list access The list of buffers (`rzv2h_ivc::buffers.queue`) is protected by a spinlock (`rzv2h_ivc::buffers.lock`). However, in `rzv2h_ivc_transfer_buffer()`, which runs in a separate workqueue, the `list_del()` call is executed without holding the spinlock, which makes it possible for the list to be concurrently modified Fix that by removing a buffer from the list in the lock protected section. [assign ivc->buffers.curr in critical section as reported by Barnabas] The driver's buffer list, which is protected by a spinlock, can be concurrently modified because a buffer removal operation (`list_del()`) is performed outside of the protected section. This concurrent access to the buffer list without proper synchronization may lead to data corruption or system instability, potentially resulting in a denial of service. Red Hat severity: Low. Low [CVE-2026-63825] use atomic counter updates to fix concurrent access crashes

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gcov: use atomic counter updates to fix concurrent access crashes GCC's GCOV instrumentation can merge global branch counters with loop induction variables as an optimization. In inflate_fast(), the inner copy loops get transformed so that the GCOV counter value is loaded multiple times to compute the loop base address, start index, and end bound. Since GCOV counters are global (not per-CPU), concurrent execution on different CPUs causes the counter to change between loads, producing inconsistent values and out-of-bounds memory writes. The crash manifests during IPComp (IP Payload Compression) processing when inflate_fast() runs concurrently on multiple CPUs: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffd0a3c0902ffa RIP: inflate_fast+1431 Call Trace: zlib_inflate __deflate_decompress crypto_comp_decompress ipcomp_decompress [xfrm_ipcomp] ipcomp_input [xfrm_ipcomp] xfrm_input At the crash point, the compiler generated three loads from the same global GCOV counter (__gcov0.inflate_fast+216) to compute base, start, and end for an indexed loop. Another CPU modified the counter between loads, making the values inconsistent - the write went 3.4 MB past a 65 KB buffer. Add -fprofile-update=prefer-atomic to CFLAGS_GCOV at the global level in the top-level Makefile, guarded by a try-run compile test.

Low [CVE-2026-63828] mediate the implicit connect of TCP fast open sendmsg

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: apparmor: mediate the implicit connect of TCP fast open sendmsg sendmsg()/sendto() with MSG_FASTOPEN is a combination of connect(2) and write(2): it opens the connection in the SYN. apparmor_socket_sendmsg() only checks AA_MAY_SEND, so a profile that grants send but denies connect lets a confined task open an outbound TCP/MPTCP connection that connect(2) would have refused, bypassing connect mediation. Add it to apparmor_socket_sendmsg() (not the shared aa_sock_msg_perm() helper, which recvmsg also uses) and call aa_sk_perm() directly, mirroring the selinux and tomoyo fixes. sk_is_tcp() does not cover MPTCP fast open, so the SOCK_STREAM/IPPROTO_MPTCP arm is explicit. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's AppArmor security module. This bypass occurs when using sendmsg() or sendto() with the MSG_FASTOPEN flag, allowing the confined task to establish outbound TCP/MPTCP connections that should have been blocked. This could lead to unauthorized network activity from a supposedly restricted application. Red Hat severity: Low. Weakness: CWE-1220. Low [CVE-2026-64167] skip KHO for crash kernel

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kho: skip KHO for crash kernel kho_fill_kimage() unconditionally populates the kimage with KHO metadata for every kexec image type. When the image is a crash kernel, this can be problematic as the crash kernel can run in a small reserved region and the KHO scratch areas can sit outside it. The crash kernel then faults during kho_memory_init() when it tries phys_to_virt() on the KHO FDT address: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address xxxxxxxx... fdt_offset_ptr+... fdt_check_node_offset_+... fdt_first_property_offset+... fdt_get_property_namelen_+... fdt_getprop+... kho_memory_init+... mm_core_init+... start_kernel+... kho_locate_mem_hole() already skips KHO logic for KEXEC_TYPE_CRASH images, but kho_fill_kimage() was missing the same guard. As kho_fill_kimage() is the single point that populates image->kho.fdt and image->kho.scratch, fixing it here is sufficient for both arm64 and x86 as the FDT and boot_params path are bailing out when these fields are unset. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's kexec_handover (KHO) mechanism. When a crash kernel attempts to initialize KHO memory, it can try to access memory outside its reserved region, leading to a kernel paging request fault. This can result in a system crash, causing a Denial of Service (DoS) for a local user. Red Hat severity: Low.

Low [CVE-2026-64154] Fix a reference leak in a6xx_gpu_init

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm/adreno: Fix a reference leak in a6xx_gpu_init() In a6xx_gpu_init(), node is obtained via of_parse_phandle(). While there was a manual of_node_put() at the end of the common path, several early error returns would bypass this call, resulting in a reference leak. Fix this by using the __free(device_node) cleanup handler to release the reference when the variable goes out of scope. Patchwork: A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Adreno graphics processing unit (GPU) driver. This vulnerability occurs in the `a6xx_gpu_init()` function, where a device node reference is not properly released under certain error conditions. This oversight can lead to a gradual accumulation of unreleased resources, potentially causing resource exhaustion over extended periods of operation. While not directly exploitable for arbitrary code execution, this resource management issue could impact system stability and availability. Red Hat severity: Low. Weakness: CWE-911. Low [CVE-2026-64082] Fix register corruption from uninitialized cregs on error

Low [CVE-2026-64092] fix tp_vars reference leak in receiver shutdown

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: fix tp_vars reference leak in receiver shutdown The receiver shutdown timer handler, batadv_tp_receiver_shutdown(), is responsible for releasing the tp_vars reference it holds. However, the existing logic for coordinating this release with batadv_tp_stop_all() was flawed. timer_shutdown_sync() guarantees the timer will not fire again after it returns, but it returns non-zero only when the timer was pending at the time of the call. If the timer had already expired (and batadv_tp_stop_all() would unsucessfully try to rearm itself), batadv_tp_stop_all() skips its batadv_tp_vars_put(), and batadv_tp_receiver_shutdown() fails to put its own reference as well. Fix this by introducing a new atomic variable receiving that is set to 1 when the receiver is initialized and cleared atomically with atomic_xchg() by whichever side claims it first. Only the side that observes the transition from 1 to 0 is responsible for releasing the tp_vars timer reference, eliminating the uncertainty. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's batman-adv module, specifically within the tp_meter component. The batadv_tp_receiver_shutdown() function, responsible for releasing tp_vars references, contains flawed logic for coordinating this release during receiver shutdown.
