A time-of-check time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition vulnerability has been reported to affect several product versions. If exploited, the vulnerability could allow local attackers who have gained user access to gain access to otherwise unauthorized resources. We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following versions: QVPN Device Client for Mac 2.2.5 and later Qsync for Mac 5.1.3 and later Qfinder Pro Mac 7.11.1 and later
In NGINX Unit before version 1.34.2 with the Java Language Module in use, undisclosed requests can lead to an infinite loop and cause an increase in CPU resource utilization. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a degradation that can lead to a limited denial-of-service (DoS). There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
Issue Summary A vulnerability has been identified in the WinBox service, where a discrepancy in response size between connection attempts with valid and invalid usernames allows attackers to confirm if user accounts exists via brute forcing the login process. In other words, when attacker tries to log into the device, by examining the response, the attacker can deduce if such a user exists on the device. Even if username is found, password still needs to be guessed as well. Affected Versions RouterOS versions prior to 6.49.18 and 7.18. Recommended Actions Update RouterOS – Upgrade to 6.49.18, 7.18, or a newer version to patch the vulnerability. Monitor for unusual login attempts – Review router logs for suspicious authentication activity and take action accordingly. MikroTik always recommends keeping RouterOS devices up to date and using a strong firewall so WinBox and other management services are not reachable from untrusted networks. Mitigation strategies for devices that cannot be updated immediately Restrict WinBox Access. Firewall the WinBox port on public interfaces and untrusted networks. Affected products named by the advisory: MikroTik RouterOS.
An exploitable CSRF vulnerability exists in Atlassian Jira, from versions 7.6.4 to 8.1.0. The login form doesn’t require a CSRF token. As a result, an attacker can log a user into the system under an unexpected account.
In rare scenarios, the cpca process on the Security Management Server / Domain Management Server may exit unexpectedly, creating a core dump file. When the cpca process is down, VPN and SIC connectivity issues may occur if the CRL is not present in the Security Gateway's CRL cache.
When URL categorization is configured on a virtual server, undisclosed requests can cause TMM to terminate. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
When BIG-IP Advanced WAF/ASM Behavioral DoS (BADoS) TLS Signatures feature is configured, undisclosed traffic can case an increase in memory resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in an undisclosed page of the BIG-IP Configuration utility that allows an attacker to run JavaScript in the context of the currently logged-in user. This vulnerability is due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2024-31156 https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K000138636 . Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
When BIG-IP AFM is provisioned with IPS module enabled and protocol inspection profile is configured on a virtual server or firewall rule or policy, undisclosed traffic can cause an increase in CPU resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
When BIG-IP APM Access Profile is configured on a virtual server, undisclosed request can cause TMM to terminate. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
When running in Appliance mode, and logged into a highly-privileged role, an authenticated remote command injection vulnerability exists in an undisclosed iControl REST endpoint. A successful exploit can allow the attacker to cross a security boundary. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
When BIG-IP PEM Control Plane listener Virtual Server is configured with Diameter Endpoint profile, undisclosed traffic can cause the Virtual Server to stop processing new client connections and an increase in memory resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
When SIP Session and Router ALG profiles are configured on a Message Routing type virtual server, undisclosed traffic can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
When SNMP v1 or v2c are disabled on the BIG-IP, undisclosed requests can cause an increase in memory resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated
When Client or Server SSL profiles are configured on a Virtual Server, or DNSSEC signing operations are in use, undisclosed traffic can cause an increase in memory and CPU resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated
