High [CVE-2025-32462] Sudo before 1.9.17p1, when used with a sudoers file that specifies a host that is neither the current host nor ALL

Sudo before 1.9.17p1, when used with a sudoers file that specifies a host that is neither the current host nor ALL, allows listed users to execute commands on unintended machines. A privilege escalation vulnerability was found in Sudo. In certain configurations, unauthorized users can gain elevated system privileges via the Sudo host option (`-h` or `--host`). When using the default sudo security policy plugin (sudoers), the host option is intended to be used in conjunction with the list option (`-l` or `--list`) to determine what permissions a user has on a different system. However, this restriction can be bypassed, allowing a user to elevate their privileges on one system to the privileges they may have on a different system, effectively ignoring the host identifier in any sudoers rules. This vulnerability is particularly impactful for systems that share a single sudoers configuration file across multiple computers or use network-based user directories, such as LDAP, to provide sudoers rules on a system. This vulnerability is classified as a Local Privilege Escalation (LPE), meaning an attacker needs an authenticated account before they could exploit it. Due to this restriction, the severity is rated Important. Additionally, for a system to be vulnerable, it must already be in a non-default configuration.

High [CVE-2025-5318] Libssh: out-of-bounds read in sftp_handle

A flaw was found in the libssh library in versions less than 0.11.2. An out-of-bounds read can be triggered in the sftp_handle function due to an incorrect comparison check that permits the function to access memory beyond the valid handle list and to return an invalid pointer, which is used in further processing. This vulnerability allows an authenticated remote attacker to potentially read unintended memory regions, exposing sensitive information or affect service behavior. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.2 Advanced Update Support; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 Advanced Mission Critical Update Support; and 21 more. Medium [CVE-2025-4598] Systemd-coredump: race condition that allows a local attacker to crash a suid program and gain read access to the resulting core dump

A vulnerability was found in systemd-coredump. This flaw allows an attacker to force a SUID process to crash and replace it with a non-SUID binary to access the original's privileged process coredump, allowing the attacker to read sensitive data, such as /etc/shadow content, loaded by the original process. A SUID binary or process has a special type of permission, which allows the process to run with the file owner's permissions, regardless of the user executing the binary. This allows the process to access more restricted data than unprivileged users or processes would be able to. An attacker can leverage this flaw by forcing a SUID process to crash and force the Linux kernel to recycle the process PID before systemd-coredump can analyze the /proc/pid/auxv file. If the attacker wins the race condition, they gain access to the original's SUID process coredump file. They can read sensitive content loaded into memory by the original binary, affecting data confidentiality. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Ceph Storage 7; Red Hat Ceph Storage 8; and 5 more. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Discovery 2; Red Hat Insights proxy 1.5; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; and 1 more.

Medium [CVE-2025-2842] Tempo-operator: tempo operator token exposition lead to read sensitive data

A flaw was found in the Tempo Operator. When the Jaeger UI Monitor Tab functionality is enabled in a Tempo instance managed by the Tempo Operator, the Operator creates a ClusterRoleBinding for the Service Account of the Tempo instance to grant the cluster-monitoring-view ClusterRole. This can be exploited if a user has 'create' permissions on TempoStack and 'get' permissions on Secret in a namespace (for example, a user has ClusterAdmin permissions for a specific namespace), as the user can read the token of the Tempo service account and therefore has access to see all cluster metrics. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat OpenShift distributed tracing 3.5; Red Hat OpenShift distributed tracing 3. Medium [CVE-2025-2786] Tempo-operator: serviceaccount token exposure leading to token and subject access reviews in openshift tempo operator

A flaw was found in Tempo Operator, where it creates a ServiceAccount, ClusterRole, and ClusterRoleBinding when a user deploys a TempoStack or TempoMonolithic instance. This flaw allows a user with full access to their namespace to extract the ServiceAccount token and use it to submit TokenReview and SubjectAccessReview requests, potentially revealing information about other users' permissions. While this does not allow privilege escalation or impersonation, it exposes information that could aid in gathering information for further attacks. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat OpenShift distributed tracing 3.5; Red Hat OpenShift distributed tracing 3. Medium [CVE-2024-45775] Grub2: commands/extcmd: missing check for failed allocation

A flaw was found in grub2 where the grub_extcmd_dispatcher() function calls grub_arg_list_alloc() to allocate memory for the grub's argument list. However, it fails to check in case the memory allocation fails. Once the allocation fails, a NULL point will be processed by the parse_option() function, leading grub to crash or, in some rare scenarios, corrupt the IVT data. Medium [CVE-2025-26465] Openssh: machine-in-the-middle attack if verifyhostkeydns is enabled

A vulnerability was found in OpenSSH when the VerifyHostKeyDNS option is enabled. A machine-in-the-middle attack can be performed by a malicious machine impersonating a legit server. This issue occurs due to how OpenSSH mishandles error codes in specific conditions when verifying the host key. For an attack to be considered successful, the attacker needs to manage to exhaust the client's memory resource first, turning the attack complexity high. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support; Red Hat Discovery 1.14; and 1 more.
