All supported versions of FreeBSD are susceptible to vulnerabilities in jail which when successfully exploited could allow a process in a jail that has received a directory file descriptor from another jail to use these techniques to escape the jail's filesystem root restriction. Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could lead to disclosure of sensitive information or addition or modification of data. NetApp reports that one or more additional products remain under investigation; review the canonical advisory for current status. NetApp states there is no workaround available at this time.
