Medium [CVE-2026-53207] fix hugetlb_lock AA deadlock in get_huge_page_for_hwpoison
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/memory-failure: fix hugetlb_lock AA deadlock in get_huge_page_for_hwpoison Two concurrent madvise(MADV_HWPOISON) calls on the same hugetlb page can trigger a recursive spinlock self-deadlock (AA deadlock) on hugetlb_lock when racing with a concurrent unmap: thread#0 thread#1 -------- -------- madvise(folio, MADV_HWPOISON) -> poisons the folio successfully madvise(folio, MADV_HWPOISON) unmap(folio) try_memory_failure_hugetlb get_huge_page_for_hwpoison spin_lock_irq(&hugetlb_lock) MF_HUGETLB_FOLIO_PRE_POISONED goto out: folio_put() refcount: 1 -> 0 free_huge_folio() spin_lock_irqsave(&hugetlb_lock) -> AA DEADLOCK! The out: path in __get_huge_page_for_hwpoison() calls folio_put() to drop the GUP reference while the hugetlb_lock is still held by the hugetlb.c wrapper get_huge_page_for_hwpoison(). If concurrent unmap has released the page table mapping reference, folio_put() drops the folio refcount to zero, triggering free_huge_folio() which attempts to re-acquire the non-recursive hugetlb_lock. Place spin_unlock_irq() before the folio_put() at the out: label so the folio is always released outside the lock. [akpm@linux-foundation.org: fix race, rename label per Miaohe] A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's memory management, specifically concerning huge pages.
Medium [CVE-2026-53190] fix dma_fence refcount leak on error in virtio_gpu_dma_fence_wait
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/virtio: fix dma_fence refcount leak on error in virtio_gpu_dma_fence_wait() dma_fence_unwrap_for_each() internally calls dma_fence_unwrap_first() which does cursor->chain = dma_fence_get(head), taking an extra reference. On normal loop completion, dma_fence_unwrap_next() releases this via dma_fence_chain_walk() -> dma_fence_put(). When virtio_gpu_do_fence_wait() fails and the function returns early from inside the loop, the cursor->chain reference is never released. This is the only caller in the entire kernel that does an early return inside dma_fence_unwrap_for_each. Add dma_fence_put(itr.chain) before the early return. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
Medium [CVE-2026-53214] Fix a potential NPD in cleanup_prefix_route
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: Fix a potential NPD in cleanup_prefix_route() addrconf_get_prefix_route() can return the fib6_null_entry sentinel entry which has a NULL fib6_table pointer. Therefore, before setting the route's expiration time, check that we are not working with this entry, as otherwise a NPD will be triggered [1]. Note that the other callers of addrconf_get_prefix_route() are not susceptible to this bug: 1. addrconf_prefix_rcv(): Requests a route with the 'RTF_ADDRCONF | RTF_PREFIX_RT' flags which are not set on fib6_null_entry. 2. modify_prefix_route(): Fixed by commit a747e02430df ("ipv6: avoid possible NULL deref in modify_prefix_route()"). Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat package: kernel.
Medium [CVE-2026-53238] validate unlabeled address and mask attribute lengths
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netlabel: validate unlabeled address and mask attribute lengths netlbl_unlabel_addrinfo_get() used the address attribute length to determine whether the attribute data could be read as an IPv4 or IPv6 address, but did not independently validate the corresponding mask attribute length. A crafted Generic Netlink request could therefore provide a valid IPv4/IPv6 address attribute with a shorter mask attribute, which would later be read as a full struct in_addr or struct in6_addr. NLA_BINARY policy lengths are maximum lengths by default, so use NLA_POLICY_EXACT_LEN() for the unlabeled IPv4/IPv6 address and mask attributes. This rejects short attributes during policy validation and also exposes the exact length requirements through policy introspection. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
Medium [CVE-2026-53135] Fix NULL deref and buffer over-read in SDP debugfs
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix NULL deref and buffer over-read in SDP debugfs [Why & How] dp_sdp_message_debugfs_write() dereferences connector->base.state->crtc without checking for NULL. A connector can be connected but not bound to any CRTC (e.g. after hot-plug before the next atomic commit), causing a kernel crash when writing to the sdp_message debugfs node. The function also ignores the user-provided size argument and always passes 36 bytes to copy_from_user(), reading past the user buffer when size base.state or state->crtc is NULL - Clamping write_size to min(size, sizeof(data)) (cherry picked from commit 6ab4c36a522842ff70474a1c0af2e40e50fc8300) The system may experience a kernel crash due to a null pointer dereference, leading to a denial of service (DoS). Additionally, the flaw could result in a buffer over-read, potentially exposing sensitive information or leading to further instability. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-476. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
Medium [CVE-2026-53263] fix off-by-one in multicast context address compression
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 6lowpan: fix off-by-one in multicast context address compression The second memcpy in lowpan_iphc_mcast_ctx_addr_compress() uses &data[1] as destination and &ipaddr->s6_addr[11] as source, but both should be offset by one: &data[2] and &ipaddr->s6_addr[12] respectively. This off-by-one has two consequences: 1. data[1] is overwritten with s6_addr[11], corrupting the RIID field in the compressed multicast address 2. data[5] is never written, so uninitialized kernel stack memory is transmitted over the network via lowpan_push_hc_data(), leaking kernel stack contents The correct inline data layout must match what the decompression function lowpan_uncompress_multicast_ctx_daddr() expects: data[0..1] = s6_addr[1..2] (flags/scope + RIID) data[2..5] = s6_addr[12..15] (group ID) Also zero-initialize the data array as a defensive measure against similar bugs in the future. This vulnerability results in information disclosure, potentially allowing an attacker to access sensitive kernel data. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-193. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
Medium [CVE-2026-53177] Fix NULL pointer dereference
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix NULL pointer dereference PCIe errors detected by a Root Port or Downstream Port cause error recovery services to run on all subordinate devices regardless of administrative state. The.error_detected() callback, bnxt_io_error_detected(), disables and synchronizes IRQs via bnxt_disable_int_sync(), which calls bnxt_cp_num_to_irq_num() to map completion rings to IRQs using bp->bnapi. Since bp->bnapi is allocated on NIC open and freed on NIC close, PCIe error recovery on a closed NIC can dereference a NULL pointer. Check if bp->bnapi is NULL before disabling and synchronizing IRQs. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
Medium [CVE-2026-53258] fix leak if split 6 GHz scanning fails
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: fix leak if split 6 GHz scanning fails rdev->int_scan_req is leaked if cfg80211_scan() fails. Note that it's supposed to be released at ___cfg80211_scan_done() but this doesn't happen as rdev->scan_req is NULL at that point, too, leading to the early return from the freeing function. unreferenced object 0xffff8881161d0800 (size 512): comm "wpa_supplicant", pid 379, jiffies 4294749765 hex dump (first 32 bytes): 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00................ 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 f0 81 13 16 81 88 ff ff................ backtrace (crc c867fdb6): kmemleak_alloc+0x89/0x90 __kmalloc_noprof+0x2fd/0x410 cfg80211_scan+0x133/0x730 nl80211_trigger_scan+0xc69/0x1cc0 genl_family_rcv_msg_doit+0x204/0x2f0 genl_rcv_msg+0x431/0x6b0 netlink_rcv_skb+0x143/0x3f0 genl_rcv+0x27/0x40 netlink_unicast+0x4f6/0x820 netlink_sendmsg+0x797/0xce0 __sock_sendmsg+0xc4/0x160 ____sys_sendmsg+0x5e4/0x890 ___sys_sendmsg+0xf8/0x180 __sys_sendmsg+0x136/0x1e0 __x64_sys_sendmsg+0x76/0xc0 x64_sys_call+0x13f0/0x17d0 Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org). Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.
Medium [CVE-2026-53151] Fix the ACK parser to extract the SACK table for parsing
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Fix the ACK parser to extract the SACK table for parsing Fix modification of the received skbuff in rxrpc_input_soft_acks() and a potential incorrect access of the buffer in a fragmented UDP packet (the packet would probably have to be deliberately pre-generated as fragmented) when AF_RXRPC tries to extract the contents of the SACK table by copying out the contents of the SACK table into a buffer before attempting to parse AF_RXRPC assumes that it can just call skb_condense() and then validly access the SACK table from skb->data and that it will be a flat buffer - but skb_condense() can silently fail to do anything under some circumstances. Note that whilst rxrpc_input_soft_acks() should be able to parse extended ACKs, the rest of AF_RXRPC doesn't currently support that. Further, there's then no need to call skb_condense() in rxrpc_input_ack(), so don't. An attacker could potentially craft a fragmented UDP packet to trigger an incorrect buffer access within the kernel, which may lead to system instability or other undefined behavior. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-125. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.
Medium [CVE-2026-53199] use kmap_local_page in netvsc_copy_to_send_buf
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hv_netvsc: use kmap_local_page in netvsc_copy_to_send_buf netvsc_copy_to_send_buf() copies page buffer entries into the VMBus send buffer using phys_to_virt() on the entry PFN. Entries for the RNDIS header and the skb linear data come from kmalloc'd memory and are always in the kernel direct map, but entries for skb fragments reference page cache or user pages, which on 32-bit x86 with CONFIG_HIGHMEM=y can live above the LOWMEM boundary. For such a page phys_to_virt() returns an address outside the direct map and the subsequent memcpy() faults on the transmit softirq path, which is fatal. Map the pages with kmap_local_page() instead, handling two properties of the page buffer entries: - pb[i].pfn is a Hyper-V PFN at HV_HYP_PAGE_SIZE (4K) granularity, not a native PFN. Reconstruct the physical address first and derive the native page from it, so the mapping stays correct where PAGE_SIZE > HV_HYP_PAGE_SIZE (e.g. arm64 with 64K pages). - Since commit 41a6328b2c55 ("hv_netvsc: Preserve contiguous PFN grouping in the page buffer array"), an entry describes a full physically contiguous fragment and pb[i].len can exceed PAGE_SIZE, while kmap_local_page() maps a single page. Copy page by page, splitting at native page boundaries.
Medium [CVE-2026-53274] fix sleep-inside-lock in __smc_setsockopt causing local DoS
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: fix sleep-inside-lock in __smc_setsockopt() causing local DoS A logic flaw in __smc_setsockopt() allows a local unprivileged user to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by holding the socket lock indefinitely. The function __smc_setsockopt() calls copy_from_sockptr() while holding lock_sock(sk). By passing a userfaultfd-monitored memory page (or FUSE-backed memory on systems where unprivileged userfaultfd is disabled) as the optval, an attacker can halt execution during the copy operation, keeping the lock held. Combined with asynchronous tear-down operations like shutdown(), this exhausts the kernel wq (kworkers) and triggers the hung task watchdog. [ 240.123456] INFO: task kworker/u8:2 blocked for more than 120 seconds. [ 240.123489] Call Trace: [ 240.123501] smc_shutdown+... [ 240.123512] lock_sock_nested+... This patch moves the user-space copy outside the lock_sock() critical section to prevent the issue. By providing a specially crafted memory page, an attacker can cause the system to halt execution, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) by exhausting kernel resources and triggering a hung task watchdog. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-821.
Medium [CVE-2026-53231] don't try to setup PHY-driven SFP cages when using genphy
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: phy: don't try to setup PHY-driven SFP cages when using genphy We don't have support for PHY-driver SFP cages with the genphy code. On top of that, it was found by sashiko that running sfp_bus_add_upstream() for genphy deadlocks, as for genphy the PHY probing runs under RTNL, which isn't the case for non-genphy drivers. This problem was reproduced, and does lead to a deadlock on RTNL. Before the blamed commit, the phy_sfp_probe() call was made by individual PHY drivers, so there was no way to get to the SFP probing path when using genphy. Let's therefore only run phy_sfp_probe when not using genphy. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel.
Medium [CVE-2026-53144] fix NULL dereference in get_queue_ids
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: fix NULL dereference in get_queue_ids() When usr_queue_id_array is NULL and num_queues is non-zero, get_queue_ids() returns NULL. The callers check only IS_ERR() on the return value; since IS_ERR(NULL) == false the check passes, and suspend_queues() calls q_array_invalidate() which immediately dereferences NULL while iterating num_queues times. Userspace can trigger this via kfd_ioctl_set_debug_trap() by supplying num_queues > 0 with a zero queue_array_ptr, causing a kernel panic. A NULL usr_queue_id_array with num_queues == 0 is a legitimate no-op (q_array_invalidate never executes, and resume_queues already guards all queue_ids dereferences behind a NULL check). Return ERR_PTR(-EINVAL) only when num_queues is non-zero and the pointer is absent; both callers already propagate IS_ERR() returns correctly to userspace. (cherry picked from commit f165a82cdf503884bb1797771c61b2fcc72113d4) Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H).
Medium [CVE-2026-53225] fix uninit-value in __sctp_rcv_asconf_lookup
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: fix uninit-value in __sctp_rcv_asconf_lookup() __sctp_rcv_asconf_lookup() in net/sctp/input.c only checks that the ASCONF chunk can hold the ADDIP header and a parameter header, then calls af->from_addr_param(), which reads the full address (16 bytes for IPv6) trusting the parameter's declared length. An unauthenticated peer can send a truncated trailing ASCONF chunk that declares an IPv6 address parameter but stops after the 4-byte parameter header; reached from the no-association lookup path, from_addr_param() then reads uninitialized bytes past the parameter. The sibling __sctp_rcv_init_lookup() bounds parameters with sctp_walk_params(); this path open-codes the fetch and omits the bound. Verify the whole address parameter lies within the chunk before from_addr_param() reads it, the same class of fix as commit 51e5ad549c43 ("net: sctp: fix KMSAN uninit-value in sctp_inq_pop"). A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) implementation. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted, truncated ASCONF (Address Configuration) chunk. This can cause the system to read up to 16 bytes of uninitialized memory, potentially leading to information disclosure or memory corruption.
Medium [CVE-2026-53272] fix use-after-free on sbi->sync_decompress
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: fix use-after-free on sbi->sync_decompress z_erofs_decompress_kickoff() can race with filesystem unmount, causing a use-after-free on sbi->sync_decompress. When I/O completes, z_erofs_endio() calls z_erofs_decompress_kickoff() to queue z_erofs_decompressqueue_work() asynchronously. Then, after all folios are unlocked, unmount workflow can proceed and sbi will be freed before accessing to sbi->sync_decompress. Thread (unmount) I/O completion kworker queue_work z_erofs_decompressqueue_work (all folios are unlocked) cleanup_mnt.. erofs_kill_sb erofs_sb_free kfree(sbi) access sbi->sync_decompress // UAF!! Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel.
Medium [CVE-2026-53261] Release nested relation on devlink free
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: devlink: Release nested relation on devlink free devlink relation state is normally released from devl_unregister(), which calls devlink_rel_put(). This misses devlink instances that get a nested relation before registration and then fail probe before devl_register() is reached. That flow can happen for SFs. The child devlink gets linked to its parent before registration, then a later probe error calls devlink_free() directly. Since the instance was never registered, devl_unregister() is not called and devlink->rel is leaked. Release any pending relation from devlink_free() as well. The registered path is unchanged because devl_unregister() already clears devlink->rel before devlink_free() runs. This issue occurs when a devlink instance acquires a nested relation but fails to register, leading to a resource leak. This can result in system instability or a denial of service (DoS) over time due to resource exhaustion. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-772. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-52924] purge outqueue on stale COOKIE-ECHO handling
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: purge outqueue on stale COOKIE-ECHO handling sctp_stream_update() is only invoked when the association is moved into COOKIE_WAIT during association setup/reconfiguration. In this path, the outbound stream scheduler state (stream->out_curr) is expected to be clean, since no user data should have been transmitted yet unless the state machine has already partially progressed. However, a corner case exists in sctp_sf_do_5_2_6_stale(): when a Stale Cookie ERROR is received, the association is rolled back from COOKIE_ECHOED to COOKIE_WAIT. In this scenario, user data may already have been queued and even bundled with the COOKIE-ECHO chunk. During the rollback, sctp_stream_update() frees the old stream table and installs a new one, but it does not invalidate stream->out_curr. As a result, out_curr may still point to a freed sctp_stream_out entry from the previous stream state. Later, SCTP scheduler dequeue paths (FCFS, RR, PRIO, etc.) rely on stream->out_curr->ext, which can lead to use-after-free once the old stream state has been released via sctp_stream_free(). Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-52950] fix UAF with retry loop
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/dma-buf: fix UAF with retry loop Retry doesn't work here, since bo will be freed on error, leading to UAF. However, now that we do the alloc & init before the attach, we can now combine this as one unit and have the init do the alloc for us. This should make the retry safe. Reported by Sashiko. v2: Fix up the error unwind (CI) (cherry picked from commit 479669418253e0f27f8cf5db01a731352ea592e7) This Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability occurs due to an issue in a retry loop, where a buffer object is prematurely freed on error. An attacker could potentially exploit this to cause memory corruption, leading to system instability or, in some cases, arbitrary code execution. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-825. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:42919, RHSA-2026:45192. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-52951] handle empty bo and UAF races
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/dma-buf: handle empty bo and UAF races There look to be some nasty races here when triggering the invalidate_mappings hook: 1) We do xe_bo_alloc() followed by the attach, before the actual full bo init step in xe_dma_buf_init_obj(). However the bo is visible on the attachments list after the attach. This is bad since exporter driver, say amdgpu, can at any time call back into our invalidate_mappings hook, with an empty/bogus bo, leading to potential bugs/crashes. 2) Similar to 1) but here we get a UAF, when the invalidate_mappings hook is triggered. For example, we get as far as xe_bo_init_locked() but this fails in some way. To fix this, move the attach step until after we actually have a fully set up buffer object. Note that the bo is not published to userspace until later, so not sure what the comment "Don't publish the bo until we have a valid attachment", is referring to. We have at least two different customers reporting hitting a NULL ptr deref in evict_flags when importing something from amdgpu, followed by triggering the evict flow. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat package: kernel-rt.
High [CVE-2026-52952] Fix WARN_ON in __iommu_group_set_domain_nofail due to reset
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu: Fix WARN_ON in __iommu_group_set_domain_nofail() due to reset In __iommu_group_set_domain_internal(), concurrent domain attachments are rejected when any device in the group is recovering. This is necessary to fence concurrent attachments to a multi-device group where devices might share the same RID due to PCI DMA alias quirks, but triggers the WARN_ON in __iommu_group_set_domain_nofail(). Other IOMMU_SET_DOMAIN_MUST_SUCCEED callers in detach/teardown paths, such as __iommu_group_set_core_domain and __iommu_release_dma_ownership, should not be rejected, as the domain would be freed anyway in these nofail paths while group->domain is still pointing to it. So pci_dev_reset_iommu_done() could trigger a UAF when re-attaching group->domain. Honor the IOMMU_SET_DOMAIN_MUST_SUCCEED flag, allowing the callers through the group->recovery_cnt fence, so as to update the group->domain pointer. Instead add a gdev->blocked check in the device iteration loop, to prevent any concurrent per-device detachment. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Input/Output Memory Management Unit (IOMMU) subsystem, which manages how devices access system memory. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat package: kernel.
