Medium [CVE-2026-46358] Authentication material disclosure via incorrect audit log redaction
OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to version 2.5.4, OpenBao's inline auth functionality incorrectly redacted audit log entries, resulting in non-auth headers being removed and auth-related headers being retained in cleartext. This requires an attacker to compromise access to the audit device. Operators should review leaked source authentication material and rotate it as appropriate. This is fixed in OpenBao v2.5.4. A flaw was found in OpenBao. Successful exploitation could lead to the disclosure of sensitive authentication material. OpenBao is packaged for Fedora and EPEL. Both shipped builds (2.6.1) are newer than the fixed version (2.5.4) for this audit-log redaction flaw and are not affected. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 4.4 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-312.

Medium [CVE-2026-19079] toctou race condition in fixfiles allows arbitrary selinux label manipulation
A TOCTOU (Time-of-Check-Time-of-Use) race condition vulnerability was found in the fixfiles script in policycoreutils. When running fixfiles relabel or fixfiles restore, the script used find and chcon commands to locate and relabel unlabeled files under /tmp and other directories. A local attacker could exploit a race window between the file discovery and the label change operation by swapping directory components with symlinks, causing chcon to follow the symlink and modify SELinux labels on arbitrary system files. This could undermine SELinux mandatory access control protections on critical files such as /etc/shadow. Red Hat ships policycoreutils with the fixfiles script in all supported RHEL versions. The vulnerable /tmp cleanup code path has been present in fixfiles for many years. Red Hat product impact analysis is required to determine which specific shipped versions of policycoreutils include the vulnerable code and whether backporting the upstream fix is necessary. The vulnerability requires local access, winning a race condition, and an administrator running fixfiles relabel or fixfiles restore, which limits the practical attack surface. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 4.4 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N). Weakness: CWE-367.

Medium [CVE-2026-70631] Information disclosure via uninitialized heap memory read in TIFF decoder
FFmpeg versions from 0.5 up to, but not including, 9.0 contain an uninitialized heap memory disclosure vulnerability in the native TIFF decoder in libavcodec/tiff.c. An attacker who can cause FFmpeg to decode a crafted TIFF file can supply a valid Deflate-compressed strip that terminates successfully after producing fewer bytes than the declared strip requires. The tiff_unpack_zlib() function allocates a heap buffer sized for the full declared strip but copies all declared rows via memcpy() regardless of how many bytes zlib actually decompressed, causing unwritten bytes that can contain stale data from prior heap allocations to be incorporated into decoded image output and potentially exposing sensitive data in persistent services. A flaw was found in FFmpeg. An attacker can exploit an uninitialized heap memory disclosure vulnerability in the native TIFF decoder by providing a specially crafted TIFF file. When decoding a crafted TIFF file containing an undersized Deflate-compressed strip, tiff_unpack_zlib() fails to verify actual decompressed output length before executing frame-buffer memcpy() operations. This incorporates uninitialized stale heap memory from prior allocations into the rendered image stream. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3; Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI).
Medium [CVE-2026-70630] Information disclosure via uninitialized heap memory read in Screenpresso decoder
FFmpeg versions from 3.0 up to, but not including, 9.0 contain an uninitialized heap memory read vulnerability in the native Screenpresso decoder (libavcodec/screenpresso.c) that allows attackers to recover sensitive memory contents by supplying a crafted SPV1 packet with a valid zlib stream that decompresses fewer bytes than the full frame requires. The screenpresso_decode_frame() function fails to validate the produced byte count before calling av_image_copy_plane() to copy the complete frame dimensions from the persistent ctx->inflated_buf buffer, causing unwritten heap memory from prior allocations or prior frames to be copied into decoded output and potentially exposing sensitive data such as userspace addresses from persistent decoding services. A flaw was found in FFmpeg. This occurs when a crafted SPV1 packet with a valid zlib stream is supplied, causing the screenpresso_decode_frame() function to fail in validating the produced byte count. When decoding a crafted SPV1 packet containing a truncated zlib stream, screenpresso_decode_frame() fails to validate the decompressed byte length before invoking av_image_copy_plane(). When FFmpeg operates in persistent or shared-process services, processing untrusted media can expose sensitive memory contents, posing a Moderate impact to confidentiality.
Medium [CVE-2026-70629] Information disclosure via uninitialized heap memory read in RSCC decoder
FFmpeg versions from 3.0 up to, but not including, 9.0 contain an uninitialized heap memory read vulnerability in the native RSCC decoder (libavcodec/rscc.c) that allows attackers to disclose heap memory contents by supplying a crafted video file with a compressed tile that decompresses fewer bytes than the declared tile geometry requires. When rscc_decode_frame() calls av_image_copy_plane() without validating the decompressed byte count against the tile dimensions, the unwritten suffix of the persistent intermediate buffer ctx->inflated_buf is copied into the decoded frame, potentially exposing data from prior heap allocations or previous decoded frames in persistent decoding services. A flaw was found in FFmpeg. When decoding a crafted video file containing a truncated compressed tile, rscc_decode_frame() fails to validate the decompressed byte count before invoking av_image_copy_plane(). When FFmpeg runs in persistent or shared-process services, processing untrusted media can expose sensitive heap memory contents, posing a High impact to confidentiality. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-908. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3; Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI). Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.
