Medium [CVE-2026-53917] Denial of Service via crafted OpenWire Message
Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ, Apache ActiveMQ All, Apache ActiveMQ Client, Apache ActiveMQ Broker. An authenticated user can cause a broker DoS by sending a crafted OpenWire Message with a large encoded size value for the map. OpenWire message property maps are unmarshaled without size validation which can trigger OOM and crash the broker. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.2.7 or 5.19.8, which fixes the issue. This lack of size validation during unmarshaling can lead to an out-of-memory error, causing the broker to crash and resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Red Hat products ship Apache ActiveMQ Classic components as transitive dependencies. The vulnerability is in the OpenWire message property map unmarshalling code in activemq-client, which does not validate encoded size values, allowing an authenticated attacker to trigger OOM. While AMQ Broker (Artemis) delegates OpenWire deserialization to Classic's activemq-client code, this attack requires authentication and has only moderate availability impact. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-770. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat AMQ Broker 7; Red Hat AMQ Clients; Red Hat build of Apache Camel for Spring Boot 4; Red Hat Data Grid 8; and 6 more.
Medium [CVE-2026-12610] Sssd: use-after-free crash in sssd' 'sssd_pam' process
A flaw was found in sssd. When authenticating with a YubiKey, the SSSD PAM responder can crash due to a use-after-free vulnerability, where a memory pointer is incorrectly handled. A local attacker could exploit this flaw by manipulating smartcard or YubiKey contents, leading to a denial of service that disrupts authentication. This vulnerability also presents a potential for privilege escalation, although it is difficult to exploit. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.4 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-825. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4. Red Hat lists Red Hat Hardened Images as not affected. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: pam; Red Hat package: sssd.
Medium [CVE-2026-14101] Insufficient policy enforcement in Sandbox
Insufficient policy enforcement in Sandbox in Google Chrome on Mac prior to 150.0.7871.47 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low) Upstream bug(s): Red Hat Product Security rates the severity of this flaw as determined by the Google Chrome Security Advisory. Weakness: CWE-653.
Medium [CVE-2026-55956] Improper Authorization Allows Security Constraint Bypass
Improper Authorization vulnerability in Apache Tomcat leads to security constraints specified for the default servlet ignoring any method or method omission configured as part of the constraint. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.22, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.55, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.118, from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100, from 7.0.0 through 7.0.109. Other versions that have reached end of support may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.23, 10.1.56 or 9.0.119, which fix the issue. A flaw was found in Apache Tomcat where access control rules for the default servlet are improperly handled. An attacker can exploit this issue to bypass specific HTTP method restrictions, potentially gaining unauthorized access to protected application resources. Red Hat products utilizing affected Tomcat versions are vulnerable if they rely on these method-specific security constraints. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N). Weakness: CWE-551. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 Telecommunications Update Service; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 Update Services for SAP Solutions; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 Update Services for SAP Solutions; and 17 more.
Medium [CVE-2026-55955] Replay attack via improper authentication in EncryptionInterceptor
Improper Authentication vulnerability in Apache Tomcat allowed a replay attack against the EncryptionInterceptor in the cluster component. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.22, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.55, from 9.0.13 through 9.0.18, from 8.5.38 through 8.5.100, from 7.0.100 through 7.0.109. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.23, 10.1.56, 9.0.119, which fixes the issue. This could lead to unauthorized access or manipulation of data within the cluster component. A flaw was found in Apache Tomcat's EncryptionInterceptor used for Tribes cluster communication. Exploitation requires the EncryptionInterceptor to be configured for Tomcat clustering, which is a non-default configuration, and the attacker must have access to the cluster network to capture and replay messages. Apache rates this vulnerability as Low severity. Red Hat has corrected the impact from IMPORTANT to MODERATE — the original AI-Bot CVSS of 8.2 (AV:N/AC:L) incorrectly scored this as internet-facing with low complexity, when Tribes cluster traffic is adjacent-network (AV:A) and requires non-default clustering configuration (AC:H). Weakness: CWE-294. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat JBoss Web Server 5.
Medium [CVE-2026-53404] Incorrect control flow in rewrite valve allows unexpected rule processing
Always-Incorrect Control Flow Implementation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat's rewrite valve meant that if the first condition in an OR chain matched, subsequent non-OR conditions were skipped. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.22, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.55, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.118, from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100. Other versions that have reached end of support may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.23, 10.1.56 or 9.0.119, which fix the issue. This can lead to unintended rule processing, potentially allowing for security bypasses or unauthorized access due to misapplied configurations. A flaw was found in Apache Tomcat's RewriteValve. When rewrite rules use OR-chained conditions followed by non-OR conditions, the processing logic may not evaluate conditions correctly, potentially allowing unintended rule matches. Exploitation requires the RewriteValve to be enabled with specific OR-chained condition patterns, which is not a default configuration. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N). Weakness: CWE-358. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat JBoss Web Server 6.2.4; Red Hat JBoss Web Server 6.2 on RHEL 10; Red Hat JBoss Web Server 6.2 on RHEL 8; Red Hat JBoss Web Server 6.2 on RHEL 9; and 13 more.
Medium [CVE-2026-50229] Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability in number guess example
Improper Neutralization of Script-Related HTML Tags in a Web Page (Basic XSS) vulnerability in the number guess example for Apache Tomcat. This vulnerability, known as Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), allows a remote attacker to inject malicious scripts into the 'number guess example' web page. When other users view the compromised page, these scripts can execute in their web browsers. This could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information or allow an attacker to alter the content of the website. This vulnerability only affects the example web application, not the Tomcat servlet container itself. Red Hat Tomcat packages do not deploy example applications by default — they are in separate optional packages (e.g., tomcat-webapps) that are not installed in production environments. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.4 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N). Weakness: CWE-79.
Medium [CVE-2026-46406] @anthropic-ai/claude-code: Claude Code: Information disclosure and file overwrite via insecure temporary file in /copy command
Claude Code is an agentic coding tool. From 2.1.59 until 2.1.128, the Claude Code /copy command wrote responses to a hardcoded, predictable path (/tmp/claude/response.md) without UID isolation, randomness, or symlink protection. The file was created world-readable (0644) in a world-traversable directory (0755), allowing any local user to read a privileged user's Claude response, which could contain secrets or credentials. Additionally, because the path was static and predictable, a local attacker could pre-create the directory and plant a symlink at the expected file path, causing the privileged process to follow the symlink and overwrite an attacker-chosen file with the response text. Exploiting this required a local unprivileged user on the same system and a privileged user to run the /copy command. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.128. This allowed a local unprivileged user to read sensitive information from a privileged user's Claude response, potentially containing secrets or credentials. Red Hat rates this Moderate with a CVSS score of 6.8, higher than NIST's 6.1. The difference is in the confidentiality and integrity metrics. Claude Code responses might contain secrets, API keys, credentials, and code, which is why Red Hat scores confidentiality as High rather than Low. Affected product named by the advisory: OpenShift Lightspeed.
Medium [CVE-2026-11979] Arbitrary code execution in xmlcatalog utility via buffer overflow
libxml2 is vulnerable to multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the xmlcatalog utility when running in --shell mode. The usershell() function processes user input using fixed-size stack buffers without proper bounds checking. By supplying an overly long input line, an attacker can overflow internal buffers (command, arg, and argv) during input parsing. This results in memory corruption within the stack frame. Successful exploitation may cause a crash or potentially allow arbitrary code execution in the context of the xmlcatalog process. This issue has been fixed in the commit c2e233fc. NOTE: The maintainers of this project did not agree that this issue is a vulnerability and considered it a bug. An attacker can exploit multiple stack-based buffer overflows by providing an excessively long input line. This vulnerability is limited to scenarios where an attacker can control input to the `xmlcatalog` utility, reducing its overall exposure in typical Red Hat deployments. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 4.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L). Weakness: CWE-120. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Discovery 2; Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Update Infrastructure 5; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.
Medium [CVE-2026-54370] TOCTOU Symlink Traversal via getfacl/setfacl
acl before version 2.4.0 contains a time-of-check to time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition vulnerability that allows local attackers to escalate privileges by replacing a pathname component with a symbolic link between an lstat() check and subsequent symlink-following operations such as stat(), chown(), chmod(), acl_get_file(), and acl_set_file(). Attackers who control a pathname component can redirect file access control list operations to arbitrary files when getfacl, setfacl, or chacl is invoked by a privileged process over an attacker-controlled path, resulting in local privilege escalation. By replacing a pathname component with a symbolic link between a security check and subsequent file operations, an attacker can redirect file access control list operations. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N). Weakness: CWE-367. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Discovery 2; Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Insights proxy 1.5; Red Hat OpenShift distributed tracing 3.10.2; Red Hat Update Infrastructure 5; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: acl.
Medium [CVE-2026-54371] Symlink Traversal Privilege Escalation via getfattr and setfattr
attr before version 2.6.0 contains a symlink traversal vulnerability in the getfattr and setfattr utilities that allows local attackers to escalate privileges by replacing a pathname component with a symbolic link during directory hierarchy traversal. Attackers who control a pathname component can redirect getfattr and setfattr operations to arbitrary files by substituting a symlink, leading to local privilege escalation when getfattr or setfattr is invoked by a privileged process over an attacker-controlled path. A flaw was found in the `attr` package. This Moderate severity flaw in the `getfattr` utility allows a local attacker to achieve privilege escalation. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N). Weakness: CWE-59. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Cert Manager support for Red Hat OpenShift release 1.19; Red Hat Discovery 2; Red Hat Hardened Images; Red Hat Update Infrastructure 5; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:59380, RHSA-2026:56133, RHSA-2026:60226, RHSA-2026:63135, RHSA-2026:63138, RHSA-2026:61783, RHSA-2026:34889, RHSA-2026:66018. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: attr.
Medium [CVE-2026-41991] Arbitrary file overwrite via insecure temporary file handling in gzexe utility
GNU gzip contains a vulnerability in the gzexe utility related to insecure temporary file handling. When the mktemp utility is not available in the user’s PATH, gzexe falls back to constructing a temporary file path based solely on the process ID (PID). This predictable filename is created without exclusive access or existence checks. A local attacker can pre‑create the predicted temporary file path as a symbolic link pointing to an arbitrary file writable by the victim. When gzexe runs, it follows the symlink and overwrites the target file, resulting in a time‑of‑check to time‑of‑use (TOCTOU) condition that allows arbitrary file overwrite. This issue has been fixed in the commit 4e6f8b24ab823146ab8776f0b7fe486ab34d4269 This can lead to a Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) condition, allowing the attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the system. On Red Hat Enterprise Linux, mktemp is provided by coreutils which is always installed, making the vulnerable fallback code path effectively unreachable in standard deployments. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H). Weakness: CWE-59. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Discovery 2; and 7 more.
Medium [CVE-2026-53325] Fix broken error propagation in agp_amd64_probe
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: agp/amd64: Fix broken error propagation in agp_amd64_probe() A NULL pointer dereference was observed in the AMD64 AGP driver when running in a virtualized environment (e.g. qemu/kvm) without a physical AMD northbridge. The crash occurs in amd64_fetch_size() when attempting to dereference the pointer returned by node_to_amd_nb(0). The root cause of this crash is broken error propagation in agp_amd64_probe(): When no AMD northbridges are found, cache_nbs() correctly returns -ENODEV. However, the probe function erroneously checks the return value against exactly -1, rather than misc member. Fix the issue by correcting the error check in agp_amd64_probe() to abort properly when cache_nbs() returns any negative error code. This prevents the driver from erroneously proceeding without hardware, thereby avoiding the subsequent NULL pointer dereference at its source. This vulnerability occurs in virtualized environments lacking a physical AMD northbridge. Due to incorrect error handling, the driver attempts to initialize without the required hardware, leading to a NULL pointer dereference and causing the system to crash. This can result in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected system. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 5.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-476.
Medium [CVE-2026-13503] antlr ANTLR4: Path traversal via manipulation of getImportedVocabFile function
A vulnerability was detected in antlr ANTLR4 up to 4.13.2. Affected by this issue is the function getImportedVocabFile of the file tool/src/org/antlr/v4/parse/TokenVocabParser.java of the component tokenVocab Grammar Option Handler. The manipulation results in path traversal. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. This could allow unauthorized access to sensitive files and directories on the system. Successful exploitation requires a specific scenario where an application using ANTLR4 is configured to accept and parse untrusted, attacker-supplied grammar files containing a manipulated tokenVocab option. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-22. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: antlr; Red Hat package: grafana.
Medium [CVE-2026-13484] Unauthorized access and data manipulation via missing API authorization
A vulnerability has been found in MLflow up to 4666cffc7912ea606d592fc38d6a75e2935f65e7. The impacted element is an unknown function of the component Experiment-scoped Label Schema CRUD API. Such manipulation leads to missing authorization. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. The exploitability is regarded as difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. A reply to the GitHub issue explains, that "[t]he labeling schema PR has not been merged yet. The auth handlers will be added before the release." A flaw was found in MLflow. This could lead to unauthorized access or manipulation of data within the affected component. This issue primarily affects specific MLflow components within the OpenShift AI environment. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L). Weakness: CWE-639. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI). Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE.
Medium [CVE-2026-58058] Denial of Service via crafted IPv6 response
Nmap through 7.99 does not keep the IPv6 extension-header walk within the captured packet in ipv6_get_data_primitive (libnetutil/netutil.cc), so the pointer advances past the buffer and the remaining-length computation underflows to a large value. A scanned target or on-path attacker returning a crafted IPv6 response with a truncated extension header can trigger out-of-bounds reads and a crash during raw IPv6 scans. A flaw was found in Nmap. This can lead to an integer underflow, causing out-of-bounds reads and a denial of service (DoS) due to a crash during raw IPv6 scans. Red Hat rates this flaw as Moderate rather than the AI-assigned Important severity. The Aegis AI-Bot rated UI:N (no user interaction), but nmap is a command-line scanning tool that an operator must manually invoke — initiating a scan is user interaction per the CVSS definition of UI:R. Correcting UI:N to UI:R reduces the CVSS from 7.5 to 6.5, aligning with the upstream CVEORG assessment. Weakness: CWE-125. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: nmap.
Medium [CVE-2026-58051] Denial of service or information disclosure via malformed SSH publickey response
libssh2 through 1.11.1 grows its publickey list with SSH2_REALLOC but does not zero-initialize new entries before parsing populates them, so a parse failure reaching the cleanup path leaves libssh2_publickey_list_free operating on an uninitialized entry. A malicious SSH server offering the publickey subsystem can use a malformed response to make cleanup free an uninitialized, attacker-influenceable attrs pointer in a connecting libssh2 client. A flaw in libssh2 allows a malicious SSH server to send a malformed public key response, triggering an invalid memory cleanup. This can cause the connecting client application to crash or leak information. Moderate: This flaw in libssh2 can lead to a denial of service or information disclosure in client applications when connecting to a malicious SSH server. The vulnerability arises from improper handling of uninitialized memory during public key list processing, which an attacker can trigger with a specially crafted response. Exploitation requires active interaction with a compromised or malicious server, limiting the attack surface to untrusted connections. Note: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 and newer are not affected by this flaw, as they do not ship the libssh2 package. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 6.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-824.
Medium [CVE-2026-48758] @sigstore/core: Signature bypass due to incorrect encoding in preAuthEncoding
sigstore-js provides JavaScript libraries for interacting with Sigstore services. Prior to 3.2.1, the preAuthEncoding function in @sigstore/core uses Node.js ascii encoding when converting the PAE string to bytes, allowing payloadType to be mutated after signing without invalidating the signature and breaking the type-binding guarantee that DSSE is designed to provide. This issue is fixed in version 3.2.1. This encoding truncates Unicode characters to their low byte, allowing an attacker to substitute characters in the payloadType with Unicode variants that produce identical PAE bytes. As a result, the payloadType can be mutated after a digital signature has been applied without invalidating the signature, thereby bypassing the intended type-binding guarantee of the Digital Signature Standard for Entity Authentication (DSSE). Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.4 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L). Weakness: CWE-347. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3; Red Hat OpenShift Dev Spaces; Red Hat Satellite 6; Self-service automation portal 2. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: sigstore.
Medium [CVE-2026-54753] `nx graph` dev server permissive CORS policy
Nx is a monorepo solution for TypeScript and polyglot codebases. From 17.0.4 until 22.7.2 and 23.0.0-beta.2, the local HTTP server started by nx graph sent Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * on every response, letting any website a developer visited read the server's responses cross-origin — including the full project graph and the output of the /help endpoint, which runs a target's configured help command. The practical impact is typically cross-origin information disclosure, but can be arbitrary command injection in rare cases. A flaw was found in Nx, a monorepo solution for managing multiple projects. This misconfiguration allows a remote attacker to read sensitive project information, such as the full project graph, from a developer's system when they visit a malicious website. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.9 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N). Weakness: CWE-346. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: grafana.
Medium [CVE-2026-48090] OAuth2 filter late async token completion after stream teardown (UAF / crash risk)
Envoy is an open source edge and service proxy designed for cloud-native applications. From 1.37.0 until 1.37.5 and 1.38.3, the HTTP OAuth2 filter (envoy.filters.http.oauth2) can leave an in-flight async token exchange attached to a downstream stream that has already been torn down. A late AsyncClient completion can still invoke OAuth2Filter methods that use StreamDecoderFilterCallbacks after that object’s lifetime has ended, causing undefined behavior, worker crashes (availability loss), and use-after-free / invalid-vptr failures under AddressSanitizer. This is a memory-safety / lifetime issue in the data plane, not a trivial config bug. Remote code execution is not claimed here; the primary demonstrated impact is DoS via crash and UB; any further impact would be deployment- and allocator-dependent. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.37.5 and 1.38.3. Red Hat products ship Envoy versions prior to 1.37.0, which do not contain the vulnerable OAuth2 filter async token exchange code introduced in 1.37.0. Red Hat products are therefore not affected by this vulnerability. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.9 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-416. Red Hat lists OpenShift Service Mesh 2; OpenShift Service Mesh 3 as not affected.
