High [CVE-2026-33630] Use-after-free / double-free in query-completion handling

c-ares is an asynchronous resolver library. From ver 1.32.3 until 1.34.7, a use-after-free / double-free in c-ares' query-completion handling. The same flaw — a query's callback being invoked while the query is still linked in the channel's internal lookup structures — is present at multiple points in the resend/finish path (timeout handling, response handling, and query dispatch). If the query, or for ares_getaddrinfo() the owning host_query, is freed as a side effect of that callback, it is then accessed and/or freed a second time. This vulnerability is fixed in ver 1.34.7. A flaw was found in c-ares. A remote attacker can exploit this via ares_getaddrinfo() over TCP by sending crafted DNS responses that force an EDNS-downgrade retry followed by a connection reset, causing the internal completion handler to access freed memory. This leads to memory corruption and a crash (denial of service), with potential for further impact depending on the allocator and build configuration. An attacker can force the client onto TCP by setting the truncation (TC) bit in a UDP response. This is a broader fix for the pattern previously addressed in CVE-2025-31498. All versions of c-ares prior to 1.34.7 are affected. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 7.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-416.

Medium [CVE-2026-14740] DBI for Perl: Out-of-bounds read in SQL comment processing

DBI versions before 1.650 for Perl read one byte out-of-bounds in preparse when deleting an initial SQL comment. The preparse method normalises SQL and removes comments. When the SQL starts with a comment line, the deletion of that line during normalisation led to an out-of-bounds read by one byte. The result is a fault on memory-hardened builds and nondeterministic newline retention on normal builds. This issue may cause a program fault on systems with memory hardening or result in unpredictable newline retention in other environments. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). Weakness: CWE-125. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Will not fix / out of support: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Red Hat does not currently list a fixing RHSA for this CVE. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat package: perl-dbi.

Medium [CVE-2026-58472] Arbitrary code execution or denial of service via crafted HTML attribute

GNU Wget through 1.25.0, fixed in commit dd692d9, contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the html_quote_string() function in src/convert.c that allows a remote attacker to trigger memory corruption by supplying a crafted HTML attribute with a large number of characters requiring entity encoding. A server-supplied HTML attribute causes a signed integer counter to overflow during output size accumulation, resulting in an undersized heap allocation and subsequent heap buffer overflow during the copy phase. This can lead to memory corruption and potentially result in arbitrary code execution or a denial of service. This Moderate impact heap buffer overflow in GNU Wget occurs when processing HTML attributes with extensive entity encoding. Successful exploitation requires user interaction, as a victim must download a specially crafted HTML file, and is further constrained by high attack complexity. This limits the direct risk to Red Hat systems where Wget is typically used for trusted content retrieval. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.9 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H). Weakness: CWE-131. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Medium [CVE-2026-58471] Heap buffer overflow via server-supplied filename leads to memory corruption

GNU Wget through 1.25.0, fixed in commit c2640fe, contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the convert_fname() function within src/url.c that allows remote attackers to trigger memory corruption through a server-supplied filename requiring character set conversion. When the output buffer is too small during iconv E2BIG reallocation, the reallocation logic miscalculates the remaining space, leading to a heap buffer overflow that can be exploited via a maliciously crafted server response. This occurs when processing a server-supplied filename that requires character set conversion, leading to memory corruption due to incorrect buffer reallocation. This can result in a denial of service or other impacts. Moderate: A heap buffer overflow in GNU Wget, affecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux and other products, can be triggered by a remote attacker. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.9 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H). Weakness: CWE-122. Red Hat fixing advisory: RHSA-2026:62142, RHSA-2026:62144, RHSA-2026:62143. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; and 2 more. Medium [CVE-2026-58470] Integer overflow in Content-Range header parsing causes download desynchronization

GNU Wget through 1.25.0, fixed in commit 43d3ba9, contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the parse_content_range() function within src/http.c that allows server-controlled values to cause signed integer arithmetic to overflow. Attackers can supply malicious Content-Range header values to trigger undefined behavior and download desynchronization in the affected client. An integer overflow in GNU Wget's parse_content_range() function allows malicious servers to send crafted Content-Range headers. This triggers undefined behavior and download desynchronization, potentially causing a denial of service or data integrity issues for the client. Moderate: GNU Wget is vulnerable to a client-side integer overflow in its Content-Range header processing. If a client connects to an attacker-controlled server, the server can return anomalous headers that cause undefined behavior and stream desynchronization. This results in local data integrity issues or a denial of service, though the impact is strictly limited to the Wget process itself. Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 5.3 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L). Weakness: CWE-190. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Medium [CVE-2026-58469] Memory corruption via crafted Metalink URL

GNU Wget through 1.25.0, fixed in commit 37a40fc, contains a heap buffer underread vulnerability in the clean_metalink_string() function within src/metalink.c that allows a malicious server to trigger memory corruption by serving a Metalink document containing a whitespace-only URL. Attackers can cause the function to decrement a pointer past the start of the buffer when processing an all-whitespace Metalink URL, potentially leading to abnormal program behavior. This could lead to memory corruption and abnormal program behavior, potentially causing a denial of service. Moderate: A heap-buffer-underread in GNU Wget's clean_metalink_string() function, affecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, can be triggered when wget processes a specially crafted Metalink document containing a resource URL consisting only of whitespace characters. This code path is only reachable when Wget's Metalink support is explicitly requested via --input-metalink or --metalink-over-http; it is not exercised during ordinary downloads. Successful exploitation requires a user to invoke Wget's Metalink handling against an attacker-controlled or compromised server. The out-of-bounds byte is read only to decide whether to continue a trim loop and is never returned, logged, or written -- the practical impact is limited to a crash of the wget process (denial of service), not memory corruption or code execution.

Medium [CVE-2026-14969] Static initialization vector in AES-CBC/3DES-CBC attribute encryption

A flaw was found in 389-ds-base where the LDBM backend attribute encryption uses a hardcoded static initialization vector for AES-CBC and 3DES-CBC operations, allowing an attacker with privileged filesystem access to detect plaintext equality across encrypted entries by comparing ciphertext blocks. This does not enable direct plaintext recovery but allows ciphertext comparison across entries sharing the same attribute value. Exploiting this requires privileged read access to the raw database files on disk, which on Red Hat Enterprise Linux are owned by the dirsrv user with mode 0700. An attacker with this level of access can typically obtain attribute values through more direct means, such as querying LDAP as Directory Manager. The practical risk is limited to scenarios where database files are exposed without the corresponding encryption keys, such as stolen backups. Red Hat rates this Moderate: impact is limited to Confidentiality (C:H) with no Integrity or Availability impact, and exploitation requires local access (AV:L) with high privileges (PR:H). Red Hat severity: Moderate — CVSS 4.4 (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N). Weakness: CWE-329. Affected products named by the advisory: Red Hat Directory Server 11; Red Hat Directory Server 12; Red Hat Directory Server 13; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; and 5 more.

Medium [CVE-2026-53877] Information disclosure via heap buffer over-read in GDALRaster

An issue was discovered in Django 6.0 before 6.0.7 and 5.2 before 5.2.16. `django.contrib.gis.gdal.GDALRaster` over-reads its in-memory buffer when constructed from a bytes object, which can disclose adjacent memory or cause service degradation via a potential segmentation fault when the `vsi_buffer` property is accessed. Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.0.x, 4.1.x, and 3.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected. Django would like to thank Bence Nagy for reporting this issue. Instantiating django.contrib.gis.gdal.GDALRaster with a bytes object representing a raster file can trigger a heap buffer over-read in the vsi_buffer property, reading roughly 32 bytes past the end of the allocated buffer. An attacker who can supply crafted raster data may cause disclosure of adjacent heap memory or, in rare cases, crash the application process. This vulnerability in Django is rated as Low impact. Exploitation is difficult due to the limited over-read size and specific input requirements, potentially leading to minor information disclosure or, rarely, a denial of service in Red Hat products that process untrusted geospatial raster data. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 4.8 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:L). Weakness: CWE-126.

Medium [CVE-2026-14940] heap-buffer-overflow in DN normalization via quoted multivalued RDN

A heap-buffer-overflow flaw was found in 389 Directory Server (389-ds-base). When normalizing a Distinguished Name (DN) that contains a legacy-quoted value encoding a multivalued nested Relative Distinguished Name (RDN), the server can write past the end of a heap allocation while sorting RDN attribute-value pairs. An unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger this condition by sending an LDAP operation whose DN reaches the DN normalization routine, such as a search with a crafted base DN. This can corrupt heap memory and may cause denial of service. Red Hat rates this issue as Moderate impact. In 389-ds-base, DN normalization of a crafted legacy-quoted multivalued RDN can corrupt heap memory during internal attribute-value sorting. Any unauthenticated client that can reach the LDAP service and supply a malformed DN in an operation such as search, bind, add, or modify can trigger the bug. In standard production builds, the server often rejects the malformed DN with "Invalid DN syntax" and continues operating; the heap corruption may be silent rather than immediately terminating ns-slapd. Denial of service is more reliably observed when heap debugging is enabled (for example AddressSanitizer or MALLOC_CHECK_=3), or depending on heap layout and subsequent memory allocator activity. There is no configuration switch to disable DN normalization for client-supplied DNs.

Low [CVE-2026-14935] webrtcbin accepts remote SDP without a=fingerprint due to inverted presence check

A logic vulnerability was found in GStreamer's webrtcbin component. The _check_sdp_crypto() function contains an inverted boolean condition that causes it to accept remote SDP offers or answers that lack the required a=fingerprint attribute, while incorrectly rejecting those that include it. An attacker with the ability to intercept and modify WebRTC signaling messages could exploit this to bypass the SDP-level DTLS certificate fingerprint binding, weakening defenses against man-in-the-middle attacks on media streams. This vulnerability is rated as Low severity because exploitation requires man-in-the-middle access to the WebRTC signaling channel, which is typically TLS-protected. Additionally, the DTLS layer may still independently validate certificates, limiting the practical impact of this bypass. The webrtcbin component is shipped as part of gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, 9, 10, and RHIVOS. The vulnerability weakens one layer of defense-in-depth but does not constitute a complete cryptographic break. Red Hat severity: Low — CVSS 3.7 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N). Weakness: CWE-670. Affected Red Hat products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. Low [CVE-2026-48588] Information disclosure due to improper caching of Set-Cookie responses

An issue was discovered in Django 6.0 before 6.0.7 and 5.2 before 5.2.16. `UpdateCacheMiddleware` and the `cache_page()` decorator cache responses that vary on cookies when the incoming request carries unrelated cookies, which allows remote attackers to read private data from the shared cache. Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.0.x, 4.1.x, and 3.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected. Django would like to thank Chris Whyland for reporting this issue. When django.middleware.cache. UpdateCacheMiddleware or django.views.decorators.cache.cache_page is in use, responses that set a cookie are not excluded from caching if the request includes any cookie, even when that cookie is unrelated to the response (for example, a language or theme preference). A remote attacker can retrieve a cached response intended for another user and obtain sensitive cookie data from the stored Set-Cookie header. This flaw is rated as Low impact. When Django's UpdateCacheMiddleware or cache_page decorator is configured, responses containing sensitive Set-Cookie headers may be improperly cached and subsequently disclosed to other users if the initial request included any cookie. This issue primarily affects Red Hat products utilizing Django with specific caching configurations, potentially leading to limited information exposure.

Low [CVE-2026-53878] HTTP header injection via DomainNameValidator accepting newlines

An issue was discovered in Django 6.0 before 6.0.7 and 5.2 before 5.2.16. `DomainNameValidator` does not prohibit newlines in domain names (unless used via a form field, since `CharField` strips newlines). If an application uses values with newlines in an HTTP response, header injection can occur. Django itself is unaffected because `HttpResponse` prohibits newlines in HTTP headers. Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.0.x, 4.1.x, and 3.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected. Django would like to thank Bence Nagy for reporting this issue. A flaw was found in Django. django.core.validators. DomainNameValidator accepted newline characters in domain name input. When applications use this validator outside Django form fields and include the validated value in HTTP response headers, a remote attacker could perform HTTP header injection. Django core is not affected because HttpResponse rejects newlines in headers, and CharField strips newlines by default. This flaw has a Low impact on Red Hat products. A vulnerability in Django's `DomainNameValidator` allows newline characters, which could enable HTTP header injection if validated values are directly used in HTTP response headers outside of Django's standard form handling.

Critical [CVE-2026-54763] Identity spoofing via improper header handling in authentication middlewares

Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to v2.11.51, v3.6.22, and v3.7.6, Traefik's BasicAuth, DigestAuth, and ForwardAuth middlewares strip canonical-cased spoofed identity headers before writing Traefik's own value, but do not account for underscore-variant header names, which many backends normalize identically to dashed forms. An attacker able to reach a protected route can inject an underscore-variant header that survives Traefik's stripping and reaches the backend alongside, or on the unauthenticated ForwardAuth authResponseHeaders path instead of, the value Traefik intended to set, spoofing identity or authorization context. This issue is fixed in versions v2.11.51, v3.6.22, and v3.7.6. This allows a remote attacker to inject a specially crafted header that bypasses Traefik's security mechanisms. As a result, the attacker can spoof identity or authorization context to the backend, potentially gaining unauthorized access to protected resources. This can lead to identity spoofing or unauthorized access to backend services, as Traefik fails to properly strip these headers before forwarding them. The vulnerability is significant because many backend systems normalize these header forms, making exploitation feasible in typical deployments. Red Hat severity: Important — CVSS 10 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N). Weakness: CWE-178.

High [CVE-2026-54765] Unauthorized filter context application in Kubernetes Gateway API provider

Traefik is an open source HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. From v3.7.0 prior to v3.7.6, Traefik's Kubernetes Gateway API provider may resolve two accepted HTTPRoutes that target the same backend Service:port but configure different backendRef filters to the same child service and apply only one route's filter set to all requests reaching that backend. In Gateway deployments where backendRef filters set security-sensitive headers, such as tenant identity, authorization context, or values the backend trusts, an attacker who can create an accepted HTTPRoute sharing the same backend Service:port may cause their route's filter context to be applied to another route's requests, potentially crossing namespace boundaries when a ReferenceGrant permits cross-namespace targeting. This issue is fixed in version v3.7.6. The system may incorrectly apply the attacker's route filter context to another route's requests, potentially allowing unauthorized access or information disclosure across different namespaces. This could lead to the application of security-sensitive headers from the attacker's route to legitimate requests, bypassing intended security controls. This Moderate flaw in Traefik's Kubernetes Gateway API provider, as deployed in Red Hat OpenShift Dev Spaces, could allow an attacker to apply their route's filter context to other requests.

High [CVE-2026-55574] Denial of Service via adversarial regular expression in structured outputs API

vLLM is a high-throughput and memory-efficient inference and serving engine for LLMs. Prior to 0.24.0, the structured_outputs.regex API parameter passes a user-supplied regular expression string directly to the grammar compiler backends with no compilation timeout; in the xgrammar backend the string reaches the regex compiler with no guard, and in the outlines backend the validation step blocks structural issues such as lookarounds and backreferences but performs no complexity analysis, so a pattern with nested quantifiers passes all checks and causes exponential state-space expansion, allowing a single request containing an adversarial regex to hang an inference worker indefinitely and deny service. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.0. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted regular expression to the structured_outputs.regex API parameter. This results in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected system. An Important denial of service vulnerability exists in vLLM, as utilized within Red Hat AI Inference Server and Red Hat OpenShift AI. High [CVE-2026-54234] Denial of Service via malformed speculative decoding workload

vLLM is a high-throughput and memory-efficient inference and serving engine for LLMs. Prior to 0.24.0, a frontend-legal multi-request speculative decoding workload can cause the rejection sampler to produce a recovered token equal to the model vocabulary size boundary value, which is then converted to negative one when the engine selects the next live token for a request and is written back into the drafter's input ids; that out-of-vocabulary value is later consumed by the model's embedding and attention path and crashes the engine worker with a GPU device-side assertion. The same triggering request sequence is reachable through the public gRPC Generate and Abort endpoints, so a remote client that can send generation requests can crash the shared engine worker, aborting concurrent requests and causing a service-wide denial of service for other clients of the deployment until the worker is restarted. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.0. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted multi-request speculative decoding workload through public gRPC Generate and Abort endpoints. This Important denial of service flaw in vLLM, utilized by Red Hat AI Inference Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI, and Red Hat OpenShift AI, allows a remote attacker to crash the engine worker.

High [CVE-2026-55379] Denial of Service via crafted BDF font file

Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 12.3.0, PIL/BdfFontFile.py bdf_char() read the BBX width and height field from a BDF font file and passed attacker-controlled dimensions to Image.new() without calling Image._decompression_bomb_check(), bypassing Pillow's documented decompression bomb protection and allowing excessive memory allocation. This issue is fixed in version 12.3.0. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by providing a specially crafted BDF font file. The library's image processing function fails to properly validate dimensions from the font file, bypassing a critical security check designed to prevent excessive memory usage. This oversight can lead to the system consuming an unreasonable amount of memory, making it unavailable to legitimate users.
